Whyisit when I'm trying to type something, such as on this forum, the cursor goes jumping around on me?

Like I'll be typing something, and then the cursor jumps up to something I already typed, and starts typing in there. Then I have to go back and fix it.

Or it'll stop typing at jump the whole page down to the bottom, like I hit some other key even though I didn't.

This isn't all that serious. I'm just curious what's happening. This seems to have started after I had to upgrade to Windows 7 because Vista got borked earlier this month.

Is this a laptop? If so, you're almost certainly touching the trackpad without meaning to.

There should be an option somewhere saying "Ignore trackpad input while typing".

if it's not a lappy, check the LED on the bottom of the mouse (surely you don't have a mechanical mouse still.) and make sure it's not got any hair or dust over the sensor. It could be that the upgrade could be red herring, and you just have schmutz on the mouse. :-)

This happens to me frquently, no matter "where" I'm typing, on my lappy...Even when I make a point to arch my fingers up so high that neither my thumbs nor the heels of my hands are anywhere near the keyboard >_> I would up hooking a real keyb up to the damn thing.
