  • Tech Geek Help?

Okay, I'm an uber tech geek, but even I know sometimes I need to turn to others for help. I just signed up with MetroPCS and got the Samsung Freeform. It came with a disk to install the drivers and connect the phone to the computer via USB to transfer files. All hunky doory right? Wrong. I have Windows 7, and it's not letting me install the drivers I've gone to the samsung site, gone through various forums etc, and can't seem to find a solution. I don't have a microSD card to go into it (yet). Any advice?

If it's to transfer the files the PC should be able to see it as a mass storage device and then just use explorer to transfer the files? (No extra drivers needed)

Micro SD cards are cheap and usually come with an SD adapter. Some come with readers or you can get a multi card reader for under $20 online.

You could always try running the setup in compatibility mode. Alternative is just plugging the phone like Draggar suggested.
