It wont hurt to delete the temp files from windows/temp either & clear internet caches.
Some nasties tend to sit in the temp files & reinstall themselves each time they're removed, as my ex found out when he mysteriously got a porn dialler on his PC & had no idea how it got there & why it wouldn't go away
      Arp happens!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

Also, try unplugging your network connection during startup after you've scanned, then run the cleaner again. I've found a few oddball viruses that that works on.

Have you tried running them in safe mode?

Also, you may have already thought of this, but have you visited the forums for spybot/malwarebytes etc?
They'll have people posting with more experience of this type of problem

I fix a few of these a day lately and here's my recipe

CCleaner to get rid of all the temp stuff first
                Malwarebytes run from safe mode
                AntiVirus run from safe mode
Kaspersky's TDSS killer from safe mode

TDSS is the only redirector I have seen in months so chances are pretty good the killer will fix your issue.
http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses...?qid=208280684 or just google Kaspersky TDSS

Use either the zip or exe.

One other thing I often don't think to tell folks, but try putting the program name into google from a clean computer. If it is difficult to remove, chances are there is someone who has already figured it out and posted advanced removal techniques out there.

Also, see if you can find where the malware has put its files on your computer. Sometimes deleting the folder can foul up the virus enough to prevent reinstall attempts after cleaning.

Thanks for all the advice,I have now got fed up and restored factory settings(yes I know probably should have done it in the first place).

I did google the problem but all I seemed to get was people with the same problem but no solutions(my original post from here even came up).

I did try going through windows explorer,to see if I could find the rogue program, and as soon as I tried the malware caused an automatic blue screen.

Thanks for all the suggestions, must be more careful of what I download in future.

I would suggest getting Microsoft Security Essentials. Its free and they've really stepped their game up on virus detection and its being rated better than a lot of the other programs, free and payed for.

It does a good job at monitoring incoming and outgoing traffic and catching stuff before it installs on your computer, and it doesn't wear down on your system like other programs. I installed it and i haven't noticed a change in the way my computer runs. I used to have Ad aware Pro which offered the same protection for a price, but it was too bulky and ate up too much CPU.
