  • iPod Touch help

Oh great Apple gurus, please help.

I'm having an issue where it seems that everything on my iPod Touch is crashing. It'll work for a bit then, I end up back home. When I say everything, I mean everything.

I'm currently backing everything up onto my iTunes, and plan on doing a hard reset in hopes that it'll fix the problem. If it doesn't, what then? I don't have Apple Care, so I can't call and have them send me a new one.

My Touch is a 2G, so it's kind of old. I figured I might have a few good years out of it, not just two (or close enough).

    Thanks

it might be time for a full restore, when you plug your ipod in there should be an option on the sync page for it, since you have everything backed up you shouldnt lose anything, unless in the process it updates to a software version that wont support some of your apps. unlikely but possible. did that for mine when it acted up, fixed it pretty well,

I did the restore and it seemed to work okay for a few hours, but it's crashing again. It's an 8 gig and there's plenty of space even with the apps and music. I may have to wait until I get paid to take it to the Apple store and get it looked at.
