  • Anyone good with Outlook 2010?

I had to reinstall W7 Ultimate. The install kept a copy of windows, called windows.old.
Since I had not backed up my Outlook/email stuff, I am frustrated. After the OS install, I installed Office 2007.
Ok. Office 2007. Fire up Outlook. I started thinking, hm, let's add the accounts up on there. When I did that, the account(s) all piled up one on top of each other. Ok, that's standard.
But on the old setup, it was setup to be (see pic). All 4 accounts were "hidden", and all the emails would come in from those accounts and land in the folders they were supposed to. Click image for larger version

But I cannot, for the life of me, get this shit to work!
I've: Uninstalled Outlook. Reinstalled it. Copied c:\windows.old\users\me\appdata\local\microsoft\ou tlook --->> in there is a batch of .pst and such from your Outlook setup.
I copied those files to the new install: c:\windows\users\me\appdata\local\microsoft\outloo k Ok. put those in there.
Fired it up again, and the file setup was good, but since I'd not added/started email accounts, of course, email was not coming in. Once I did add an account, the account name showed up at the bottom of the list again. Click image for larger version

No idea on a solution, but the first thumbnail image shows an email address.

When you add an account, is there any opportunity to say which folder you want it to appear in? (long shot, sorry)

Scruff - yes, you make a rule. Thing comes in thru That Account, rule created says you put Thing in That Folder (you've created). That's the folder structure I've got.

But the email accounts are showing in the bottom, and they used to be hidden. And stuff would come in straight to those folders. Not having Email A in both That Folder and That Account down below.
