I went shopping last night. And ran up to the store up the street for produce.
*shudders* I'll get around to posting about it eventually, but right now, I needs to finish cooking.
Other shoppers?

No, dear. Wouldn't want to poison myself, now would I?
No, so far, I've made some herb sauteed potatoes, black bean and tomato burrito filling, chai tea concentrate, pizza sauce, and am cutting up some fruits and veggies for the week. Oh, and I"ve got some black beans soaking, so I can cook them in the crockpot while at work tomorrow, and portion them out to freeze for future recipes.
Every time after a shitty day at work, and I drive by the VFW, my car veers over there, and it forces me to have a beer. I did, actually, get out of there with only having one beer tonight.

Amina, chai tea concentrate is easy.
12 chai tea bags, any brand (I use Stash, Bigelow, or Twinings)
4 cups cold water
1.5 cups milk
Combine it all, stick on the stove and bring it to a boil. Once it's boiling, reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat, strain into a heat resistant container (Strain because sometimes the tea bags burst). Let cool to room temp, then cover and refrigerate.
Standard serving is just like any other chai concentrate you buy at the grocery store. Equal parts concentrate to equal parts milk/soymilk/cream. Sweet a little to taste.
So good and MUCH cheaper than buying the concentrate from the store. $4 for a carton of concentrate, compared to $1.97 for a box of tea, and however many cents 1.5 milks cost from a gallon in the fridge.
