  • OK QUESTION YALL.

I can rent this book for 35$ and itll get here in 7-14 business days (roughly, in October). I can pay 40$ and get it by next Friday (9/24). Or I can pay 53$ and get it right now electronically (ebook).

I could probably bum the book for a half hour and make copies at school of all the exercise pages (thats all I really need) up until next friday and/or october.

    i just.. ugh dont know.

edit: unless someone knows of a ebook company? coursesmart.com is whos giving me the 53$ quote for a 180 day viewing.

    • I'd go for the ebook, unless you have something against it? $53 for 6 months? granted, you can't sell it back, so that sucks, but if it's $53 for an ebook version, I'm guessing the actual text version is about $120, so you're still saving over 50%.

      • Go with the ebook. The hassles you will go through to do without it until the 24th is not worth the $13.00 savings. Unless you have access to a free photo copy (and no one around to yell "copyright"), you will probably lose half of that making copies.

            • New or used, though? If it's new for $60 somewhere, then find it new and grab it. ebooks generally go for a fraction of the new price, whereas used books retail for about 25% of the new price, so if used is $90 at a bookstore, then it's what, still $120 new?
