You're looking in the wrong places. I know of lots of ladies that would be very intrigued by the notion and potentially quite appreciative of your skill.

        • We are getting a new couch. Our old couch is 12 years old and basically a wooden skeleton with some fluff attached, held up by the many small toys trapped beneath its bulk.

Possibly, though I suspect any that are, are all in relationships already.

...why are there THREE open (each with less than half the contents missing) reams of paper?
Sounds like my wife has been visiting!! At least, if she deals with printer paper the way she does spices and other foodstuffs...
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

                • Apparently each ream is different; one is the generic Bent Staple paper, one is a slightly heavier stock mom likes for her knitting patterns (why should the paper matter if they're in sheet protectors anyway), and the third is heavyweight cotton-wove resume paper (why do we even have that?).

                    • I like writing Iron Age- inspired fantasy because British Celts had no written records so, while grounded in a real place and culture, I can make up shit to fill in the gaps and no one can complain about historical accuracy.

                          • The TSA is so concerned with keeping pocketknives from boarding planes, yet they let airlines serve coffee with very pointy plastic stir sticks (not terribly sturdy, but could do some damage before breaking if used 'correctly').

                            • Being an English major and former reporter/editor can really screw up your enjoyment of things.

I'm watching a documentary on the July 1995 eruption in the Soufriere Hills on Montserrat. And in the documentary I hear this line: "While driving north from the capital of Plymouth, the volcano erupts violently."

Gotta hate it when that happens.

Working on an outline for a novel for the first time ever. I'm super high-tech about it- poster board, index cards and markers.
