Mine is a mix:
30% off our (overpriced) retail goods; but we have an irregular employee sale where it goes up to 40%.
25% off of massages/facials.
50% off our classes/services for 5 days per year (we get to choose which days and have to file a form with HR).
And there are some events which are free for staff throughout the year.

I have two retail jobs. Full time one: 30% off anything, including clearance.
Part time one: 40% off across all brands (huge corporation), however.... there are some confusing restrictions lol. They also come up with some surprises from time to time to make working for that corporation AWESOME."There is no rehab for stupidity." --Chris Rock

The clearance swamp bestowed upon its employees a generous 10% discount. That didn't apply to things like electronics, paper products or laundry detergent because the company didn't want to lose money on those items.
And when employees started shopping for those things at Walmart, management implied that would result in less payroll and fewer hours. They didn't get to the point of putting up posters though.
There were also semi-frequent friends and family events, where we were encouraged to give our friends and family 10% off coupons, but they were subject to the same exclusions the employee discount was.Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard. Be evil.

I buy most of my stuff from the company, I'm obsessed with a certain line of products manufactured exclusively by the company. Corporate did an investigation into me because I bought over $5,000 of stuff in six months. My boss sent a picture of my closet and corporate was like, "Oh, that girl is cray. Cased closed."

we don't get a discount (clothing store, starts with p and ends in mark), save for a "trial" that has popped up for the last few christmases for 10% off non sale items during that holiday. i don't really mind much though, the prices can be pretty low as it is, just irritating when other people (customers mainly) don't believe me XD

Quoth tofu View Post... (clothing store, starts with p and ends in mark) ...
They won't tell us what our discount is. We have to go to the company mail-order website (through an internal employee-only gateway) and put together an order, then compare the total with putting together the same order when not going through the gateway.
To be fair, though, my part of the company isn't in the retail end of things.“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

We get 20% off retail, QSR and the two sitdown restaurants; wine and the new restaurant opening in March is 10%. The coffee bar closest to the employee entrance is half price (I think they have a deal with the store, a lot of their retail products I haven't seen anywhere else). Even though the local-producer foods are retail, the discount doesn't seem to apply (odd, although I can see why if those have a lower margin...I don't mind paying full price for my caramel addiction as they're actually cheaper than the other place I get them).
We don't send damaged grocery items back, so anything like that (if it's still viable/edible/safe) gets distributed among the team once the manager's written it off in the system.Last edited by Dreamstalker; 01-22-2017, 09:57 PM."I am quite confident that I do exist."

At my winter job, we get 65% off of food and 50% off of non fountain beverages at the restaurant where I work. At the other cafeteria, we get 50% off and at the other restaurants we get 25% off. We also get between 20 and 40% off at the various retail outlets.
At my summer job, we can eat whatever we want to on the train for free. Sometimes, the day cruise companies will offer free or greatly reduced priced trips to train employees. We also get discounts at the company owned lodges and hotels.Question authority, but raise your hand first. -Alan M. Bershowitz
