Well I always said when I was temping that I should have been known as Super Temp girl. My super powers? Being able to pull stuff out of my ass since that always seemed to be happening. Report due yesterday that you just told me about this morning? Hold on, let me pull it out of my ass!

Precognition would be nice for anyone who is in charge of store ordering. That way they can know exactly what will sell.

Mute - With a thought I could silence screaming annoying children or ranting and raving SCs, especially if I think an SC is going to go report me.

This would even be more fun if I were to say "You thieving, lying *insert curse words here*" first.

Paralysis - used on same people as above

Pain - SCs and others as appropriate would experience a searing horrible pain through their entire bodies at my will.

Super Strength - So I wouldn't have to worry about SCs who put big things of kitty litter or other heavy items on the belt instead of leaving them in the basket getting upset when I ask them to pick them back up after I scan them.

Telepathy would be nice too of course.

Well, obviously telepathy is a must-have. Only I would want limited telepathy. I sure as heck do not want to know some of the things that go through those people's heads.

After that, however, I want the ability to make SC's suffer a bout of understanding. Basically, no matter who they are or what they are trying to pull, I want to be able to force them to actually know, without question, what it is they are doing, why it is wrong, and why they should be ashamed of themselves.

And third, I want to be able to fly. Not because it might be able to help me, but because it would be really cool if I could fly.

Nekojin and I were writing an urban fantasy story a while back, and one of the things in it was a sentient AI controlled mansion that could teleport troublemakers about 30 feet above the lake that was 40 miles away from the house. Whether they got to keep their clothes with them was up to the AI.

I would like invisibility, just so I could take a breather sometimes. If they can't see me, they will go to the next beer stand. Plus it could be fun to mess with people's heads.
The ability to freeze time would be nice, I hate it when I need to restock and the line just won't quit.

Hmm, a take from tenchi muyo it sounds like. (one of the characters set up a shield system in his room that if someone barged into his room, they were teleported to the lake outside. Probably my favorite defense mechanism ever.)

technopathy, for the obvious reasons (damn windows). though for sheer awesomeness, being an elemental would rock.

Silicon elemental? Yesyesyes. I would also love the ability to create/command nanobots for various repair tasks when opening up the computer isn't possible.

Telekinesis and bilocation ability for times/tasks when telekinesis won't work or isn't a great idea.

Mindreading.

Time shifting/time freezing.

Transmute loose change into bills...instantly solve the too-much-change problem at closing!

And the ability to polymorph for the hell of it (no end of fun to be had in a scifi bookstore, I'm sure).

Shapeshifting. So I could shift into the form of a non existant staff member and tell an SC to go get stuffed, without fear of reprisals.

Also power to control the weather, so I could make it snow continiously and really give those idiots who rush to stock up something to cry about. Plus strike anyone who preaches about god with lightning, just for kicks.
