I agree, Miyon, that's just silly of him.

I met Chuck Norris once at the Irving (TX) mall, he was a super nice guy and gave me his autograph. I gave it to my dad, who is a huge fan.

I took a CC from Jennifer Lopez once. It's a shame that one wasn't the real one.

      I've had two encounters..sort of.

      1) I served Tom Hanks at the amusement park where I worked. I was working a game called plate break (you throw the baseball, you break the plate). He was wearing sunglasses, and a ballcap to hide who he was so he could be out with the family. I realized after a couple of games who he was (I had just seen Joe vs. the Volcano). He must have realized it too, because after he won something, he said thanks for not saying anything.

Later I read in the employee newsletter that he had spent two hours in the park before someone had recognized him and made a big deal out of it. He left because of the crowd of people following him around after that. I felt bad for him.

      2) I also used the urinal next to Walter Koenig when he was a guest at Origins one year. He kept his eyes to himself, and so did I.

I hear he likes to play Battletech from other con-friends, and played in a couple of late-night games that year.

(my friend used to live close enough to go trick or treating at his house, he gave out king size candy bars) I was cashering at Lowes in Federal Way and he would tend to shop there during off peak hours. He would also go to the movie theater I worked at a lot too. Pretty cool guy, I would just like to add that his wife doesn't have a big butt though.

When I worked at Customer service for MS Word, David Duke (yes the head of the KKK at the time) would call in every day or so because he was writing his Bio and couldnt figure how to do anything in Word.

We used to have a buyer call in and give his name as Harvey Wallbanger.

I've stood next to the cashier selling tickets for Medieval Times to Steven Spielberg. He arrived at the last minute, was at the booth alone, but bought more than one ticket, and he was wearing a pink baseball cap, but I don't remember what it said on it.

And I've been backstage and had dinner with Terri Nunn of Berlin fame. She's a real sweetheart, and is vaguely related to my ex. I like to say that she's my ex's adoptive mother's brother's wife's half sister. Yeah, she's his aunt's half-sister. Seems that daddy liked 'em young, so after having a couple of daughters with his first wife, he ran off with someone else and had at least one more girl, which was Terri. It wasn't until the mid-90's that Terri started getting in touch with her half-sibs to get to know them.

                ^-.-^

I'm practically married to Pete Rose.

My friend's dad is Jack Wagner. (Different spelling though)

I used to work with an Amanda Marshall.

This thread caught my eye because Kevin Bacon (the real one) was in my store about 3 weeks ago. Got it on video...from about 5 different angles!
I didn't serve him (I think he might've just been using the bathroom), but one of the staff ran out to the parking lot and got his autograph. Which he seemed more than happy to give!

Steve Zahn has a farm somewhere near where my bookstore is, and he comes in sometimes. Every visit sends several of the girls I work with into hysterics...but I had never heard of the guy until they started talking about him. I had to IMDB him to see what he looked like (and I had never seen any of his movies!). Finally I rented "Rescue Dawn" just so I could see what he looked like. He was quite good in that film, I thought. Haven't seen him since I watched the movie though!

I checked out William Shatner one time as well (he also owns a nearby farm) but he was sunburned and looked grumpy so I didn't say anything. Also the people in the cafe say he is an SC, but I don't want to libel him so I will say I have never personally experienced SC-like behavior from William Shatner!

                          Thats it I'm afraid!
My dad met Tom Kruse once.

Also I went to uni with Robbie Williams (I still go to uni, Robbie's graduated now). I am of course talking about Robbie Williams the software engineer, not the singer

AAFHeaven reminded me of this yesterday, one of my favorite professors in college is the brother of Tim Guinee. He played the Priest in John Carpenter's Vampires, and one of his most recent credits was Iron Man.

OMG! Not meaning to date myself but many years ago when I was an undergrad he was a grad student at the university I attended and we actually had a language class together. Very frightening guy even then. He would give long insane Nazi brownshirt speeches on the Quad.
