To a SC, what is rational, reasonable logic good for anyways?
There is the problem. I always say, and will stand behind it until the day I die "SC and logic, never the twain shall meet." Faced so many brain Blue Screen of Death.. maybe why my mind is so scattered.. I caught a virus from one of the SC's
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

"I received a customer complaint against you."

I got to work today for my shift and my store manager calls me in the office. When I get in there, she's frowning and says sternly, "I received a customer complaints against you."
Then she busts out laughing, saying 'that lady has lost her marbles!!' She had tears rolling. I can't believe that woman actually called my manager.

What did she tell the manager? Did she mention your kid?

What in the world can a 3yo even be fired FROM?

Well.....when my sister's son was about that age, I would sometimes tell him that he was fired from being my nephew, and I was going to get a replacement from the nephew store. His response would be that he couldn't be fired because he didn't have a job. (He was/is very bright for his age, and got the joke)

Assuming the SC had them in the first place.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

I know I'd have to worry once some corporate bigwig actually APPROVES of a termination because "even our store employees should be helpful to OUR customers even when they shop off the clock in other stores and offer the help they need...all in the name of customer service!"

Maybe that customer stepped through a time warp from the early 1900's, when small children were often employed at textile factories and such places....

Didn't mention mini me, which isn't a surprise. She already knew she lost.

I think there have been a couple-few lawsuits over firings like that. If I'm recalling correctly, the rulings usually favor the employee's time is their own, unless the business is paying them to represent to company even off the clock.

I can see the lawyers rubbing their hands in glee, even in an at-will state if that was the stated reason given on paperwork I think there is some money to be made.

You wouldn't want to work for a jerk like that anyway.

I'd suggest to the woman in the OP that she work for a few months in retail to see what she's putting other people through, but I've a feeling any lessons she might learn would bounce right off her concrete skull.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
