Now, with high end smartphones going for over $1000, the average insurance deductible starts at about $200. This has been the case for at least the last 3 years if not longer.
    That's why for myself, I've stuck to the philosophy of "Go to department store. Buy a phone that offers the features of, well, a phone. Swap out the SIM card. Leave store happy. Leave clerks happy."
