Okay, I had a customer who wanted to cash a check at drive up. The check was for 3,100 dollars or something. He also wasn't a customer of the bank. So i tell him that we don't cash checks over a 1000 at the drive up. (we don't even cash checks for that amount even if they are a customer of the bank). He then begs me to make an exception ( why? so you can come back next week and pull the same crap with a different teller and tell her that the "other" teller did it for you? So i tell him no! He then rings the bell and asked me, not for the manager which a person in his predicament would have done, but asked me what my name was.
I just ignored him and he then left.
First of all, i do not tell my name to nobody, especially if they are going to tell corporate on me. Also, EVERY other teller there would tell him the same exact thing. He might as well ask for every teller's name there. Also, I don't trust nobody and i don't know what he is going to do with my name.
Also, why the hell would he wait until AFTER 4 to cash this check? He had all day to cash this check. If he wanted to cash this check so badly, why wait until 4:30 ish to cash the check? ( Our lobby is closed by 4, drive up at 5).
Anybody else here refuse to tell anybody their name?
