THANK YOU! And it might just be me, but how come whenever the office person is about to send you to lunch (already told you to turn off your light, take the final customer in line, and tell the rest to move to another till), the customer decides to pay w/ a check and do the aformentioned crap? I swear, I always end up going to lunch stressed.

Dr. Reid: "Jesus, Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood.
The Todd: "I'm carrying under wood right now. See, that's funny because it's true."

I don't think check writing is ever going to go away completely. I still write checks for a few of my bills being I am more comfortable doing it that way. But, I do not write them in stores any more. Debit and credit cards are wonderful for this.
Erm... I don't know whether the situation is different here, but I remember a time (being like 5) when my parents had a checkbook. I've been working for this mobile operator/ISP for 3 years now and have NEVER ONCE seen a check... It seems to be possible that checks just went away from Finland. And they don't use them too much in central Europe either, I think.

Our invoices get paid straight from one's bank account. Reference number, amount, due date are inserted and then confirmed and when due date comes off the money goes. I guess it's something you call "direct deposit"...

A man can be stupid and not know it, but not if he is married.
