What's sad is I've been trying to find games for my N64 that don't suck and aren't completely demolished.
Most places I've been to have like five games and they all look like they've been run through a washing machine.
<snip>
The Wii, while something I would love to have, doesn't make sense to me.
you DO realise that the Wii virtual console lets you DOWNLOAD many of your favorite NES, SNES, N64, NEOGEO, Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx 16 games
yes the Wii is EVERY nintendo console + -total backwards compatability-try playing your ps one games on a ps3-not happening but we have super mario 1 and 3 on our Wii from the 8 bit NES-and super metroid from super nintendo-plus it plays gamecube games. That's the big deal about it.
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes

Haven't found a game that I couldn't play on my PS3 yet (PS or PS2). For me, I haven't found anything on the 360 that my PC doesn't have or can't handle, so I went with a PS3 since I have my PS2 library and I wanted a blue ray player. I didn't have to pay anything extra to have that either. Also, I have 100% compatibility without the need for patches. Folklore is awesome, so is Ratchet and Clank and Drake's fortune. Rock band's been wasting my wife and I's time away when I don't sit to play those. A Wii would be cool, but for me I wouldn't touch a 360 unless someone bought it for me to prove to me that its better for me than the PS3

The whole compatibility thing depends on where you live. The PAL versions made for Australia and Japan didn't get made with the chip to make them backwards compatible, where as the US NTSC versions did.
Dude. Go with a 360. Unless you're dead set on that blue-ray, go with a 360. Much better games for it (including Assassin's Creed!), and although the graphics are supposedly much better than anything ever oh my god shit my pants on the PS3 (note that sarcasm), you'd be missing out on the best games of the year (Bioshock, Mass Effect, in my opinion Halo 3, probably because I'm a fangirl...)
Sorry, but I don't really care for the 360, Halo (never saw the big deal, it's just a hyped up FPS), Bioshock, or any of those games. I am addicted to Final Fantasy and Metal Gear. I am planning on keeping my PS2 anyways.
The Grand Galactic Inquisitor hears all and sees all.
Did Square resign with Sony? The delay of the PS3 release Square from their previous contract, and I had not heard of a new contract. I admittedly have not had time to pay close attention, but it would seem silly of them to resign when they could have gone multi-platform.
The only words you said that I understood were "His", "Phone" and "Ya'll". The other 2 paragraphs worth was about as intelligible as a drunken Teletubby barkin' come on's at a Hooter's waitress.

Stupid Sony
Did is the right word. On the future versions of the PS3, Sony is discontinuing the backwards compatibility all together. Some of those machines have already hit the market in the US.
Just because a customer expects you to put some effort into your job, that does not make them an SC.
The 40 gig PS3 is the one that is NOT backwards compatible at all. The 80 gig does not have the chip, so it is software emulated and therefore only between 70-80 % compatible. We sold the last of the 60 gigs a few months ago.
Personally, I am not a fan of the PS3. I like the 360 much better. Call of Duty 4 is one of the coolest games. EVER

Reason: I kant spel
I haven't played video games in over a year (can't afford a PS2/PS3), yet I think the Wii looks interesting. I would never abandon PS products, but I just wish Sony would have a unique user interface like the Wii controller.

We got six in. Everyone wanted to buy them all because apparently everyone around here can't stop procreating so everyone with a damn Wii has, oh, I don't know, around 52 kids. I'm having to hide the damn things under the counter so we can only sell each person one so the first six people asking will at least get one. One lady starts to yell because she saw us get our box in and saw that we had gotten more than one in, pissed off because I was only going to sell her one. Every parent in line behind her begins to raise their hands to strangle her...and I think she noticed because she shut up.
Geez people, tell your kids to share!
Oh, and Nintendo...I'm going to frikkin' murder you.
Don't blame Nintendo for customer asshattery, man. That falls squarely on the customer and nobody else. The jerks I want to kill are the ones that come in and buy up all my Wii systems, then go on goddamned eBay and sell them at jacked up prices. Personally, I wish that auction sites would put a one year moratorium on "secondary sales" of new consoles (or other hot new toys) to discourage that kind of greedy gouging.

Oh, I know it's not Nintendo's fault. That was more of the joke line. I'm pretty sure with the poor Gamecube sales, Nintendo didn't really expect the Wii to take off like it did, so they shut down almost all of their US factories.
Yeah, for people who buy the Wii systems from us, the store manager is in there pretty much every time we get a shipment in and he bitches people into buying games and accesories with it because he thinks somehow that'll stop them from selling it on ebay. We do limit one per customer, though. Still doesn't stop people.
