If there was a fire alarm anywhere near where my pets were, even a false alarm, I'd be getting them out. Hell, if I had a real fire I'd probably end up dying because I would not leave until they were all out...and in my case, that means two dogs, two cats, two rats, and nine (soon to be 16) birds.

That said, I would never bring either of my dogs on an oil change and leave them in the car. Some people are allergic to dogs. Some people are afraid. They shouldn't have to deal with my dogs when it isn't a normal course of their job...and my dogs shouldn't have to deal with being in a frightening noisy place with strangers when there's no reason for it.

What, have you never heard of "Cowboy Punk"? It is all the rage with young people today. That and jewish rap. Kids can't get enough of this stuff! :3
You could actually connect the description from the first post with both psychobilly and deathrock genres.

I would love to have a job where I could bring my dog to work. There's even an empty cube right next to mine (they don't use it cuz there's a big pillar in the corner of it; it's sort of the unofficial coat closet for my area) - a few toys, food/water dishes, and a baby gate and he'd be all set! When he wants to sleep he can curl up in my lap! ...hmmm now all I need is to steal Pablo back...or get a dog of my own...

That being said, I won't bring him where it's not appropriate, and that would include a service garage. At the very least he'd come into the waiting room with me - which they apparently don't mind cuz one day I went to pick up my car and there was a woman there with a basset hound; when I petted him he just rolled right over for a belly rub!

          O

Said it before and I'll say it again- I've worked with animals all my life and I've met exactly two with behavioral problems so severe they needed to be put to sleep and couldn't be cured. One suicidal horse, one dog whose good nature was destroyed by dogfighting.
          a suicidal horse?

... I was gonna quote and ask about the exact same thing. o_o

But yeah, some people shouldn't be allowed to have animals. ~_~ It's a responsibility, not a *~cutsey~* joyride.

I once had a job where I could do that--gas station attendant. All we sold was gasoline, cigarettes, and an occasional tire (no mounting service). I worked alone on Sundays, open to close, and would bring my Doberman in for company. He would lie under the desk except for when I walked him, on a leash, around the perimeter of the property.

The ONE time I did not bring him in was the night I got robbed at gunpoint. To this day, I still firmly believe that if I had taken him in, we would both be dead.

I'd be willing to bet that most of his sexual escapades didn't involve women.
No wonder the dog was pissed off.

Is it just me, or does the title of this post sound like the answer to "What are little boys made of?"
