It's rare with corporate clients, which is who I book travel for (thank god), but occasionally I'll get one who calls and has me book an entire itinerary, only to then say 'but on blah.com, it was xx.xx'.
Without fail, I usually enthusiastically say 'WOW. That's a great deal! If I were you, I'd definitely purchase it there.' I've perfected this line over the years to the point that I sound completely genuine and not at all sarcastic.
It flusters and floors them, and 9 times out of 10, they book it with me - mainly because they're required to by their company. We do reporting and keep track of bonus programs, so its normally well within a companies best interest to make their emps book with us instead of a random travel website.
And they KNOW this...yet they still play these games. It's so much fun to burst their bubble and show that I truly DO NOT CARE and enthusiastically tell them to book it where it's cheaper.
