I hate them too! The customers don't realise how quiet they sound if they speak through the loudspeaker.

What's worse though is when two customers, normally a husband and wife, decide to ring me to get a quote, and they'll both be speaking to me through an extension. Every question I ask, I'll get an answer from one, then the other one will contradict it, and they'll start having a mini argument with me awkwardly listening.
I understand that completely! I can't stand it... also sometimes you have to explain yourself twice with the same answer.

I also hate when customers get irate over the fact that I don't have a easy button to fix their internet, and then they like to use vulgar insults in my direction and hang up before I have time to kindly respond with low tone as if I was talking to a 4 year old.

My pet peeve is people that won't let me finish my spiel, just hold on a sec it only takes all of like 3 seconds to say it.
I hate that too, because in my center if you let a customer succeed in not letting you finish your script you could get docked point on your audit.

A lot of times I have to put a call on hold because my other line starts going. I'll tell the person on the phone that I'm putting them on hold, but usually just hit the mute button so I can still hear them in case something important happens on their end of the line. It's weird to me that after I tell people I am putting them on hold, a lot of them sit there saying 'hello' over and over again. Then there are the people who say nasty things about you when they think you can't hear them. Hehe! I love saying to them, "I heard that. An officer is on their way." You can almost hear them blushing.

I can't stand the customers that call up and give me some way off tangent, long winded ass story instead of getting straight to the point with their issue. I have other calls to take and that's not gonna help me keep my supervisor off my back about my AHT being high, especially if we're in queue because you wanna tell me your friggin life story!
