I have to agree here. Besides, it is much more fun to critique their namecalling, and suggest ways to improve their insults and delivery. Preferably to their face. I have suggested Dennis Miller or Colin Quinn to people whose whole insult repertoire consisted of "fag" and "gay." No one expects to be calmly graded on their insults.

An update.

I have talked to the one cop that I am semi-friends with. He says that it would be hard to go after him for a false report since the police did not handcuff me and take me to the station.

The coach did come in and talk to my boss. Said I was reaching to my side for a gun and he didn't want to press charges or get me fired. He just doesn't want me to shoot someone. Well the ONLY person that carries a gun on his side is the other night time guy who was off that night. So me and my co-workers think he has an issue with guns and thought it was me that had the gun and set out to cause a problem so my boss would tell me not to carry anymore.

All this has done is to piss me and my co-workers off and now even more of us will soon be carrying at work. The police helped get the word out that me and my co-worker who was there that night don't have guns by going back and telling him that. So now he and everyone he knows now knows that if we are the only two working theres no gun. That now has to change.

The cop I am semi-friends with told me to put a can of Zippo lighter fluid and a lighter behind the counter and use that if I am held up. I put off doing that but now its there and open ready to go. He also is the one that told me I did a good job the day I sprayed gas over the two guys that attacked me at the pumps.

As he said, do what you need to to be safe. I will now do that. The coach and the three cops that told me that the coach wouldn't carry a gun and wouldn't lie can all go to he......

Oh and theres now 3 of us that will refuse to serve the coach and if he starts any crap he will have the police called on HIM and charges pressed.

VenomX, I understand where you are coming from in wanting to carry a gun, but do you feel that's the best choice? You just had a guy tell the police you threatened to shoot him, getting you in some sort of trouble and you now want to carry a gun to work? If he does come in again, and starts trouble, I don't think you'll be able to control yourself from yelling, and then he goes the gun route again, and hey, guess who's carrying.

If you really want to do that I hope you at least do it legally and get all the proper permits to carry.

As far as what happens next, I'd take this as a sign to try and control your temper more, and be glad nothing more came of it. Be the bigger person and drop it.

Well, this guy really is an idiot. Like your boss wouldn't know whether you were at work strapped or not. Plus, from your story, it sure as hell sounded like this guy wanted you to think he had a gun and that he was about to use it. I'm telling you.. too much testosterone and too little brains either from 'roid use or not enough evolutionary steps from cromagnum man. Either way, I don't like the idea of this guy working with kids and if he gives you any more sh*t, please go to the TV news or papers.

Yup if cop friend says you can't get him on false report charges because you weren't led off in shiney metal bracelets its time to take it to the media. People won't put up with that kind of person taking care of their kids.
(If a female teacher can be fired for having a picture of herself in a bikini on Myspace, think what this will do to his job.)
