I've had my share of video late fees, library fines, etc. Maybe I'm weird, but I just suck it up and pay up. It's my own fault I didn't get the item returned/renewed in time, after all.

Exactly. The only time I made any kind of fuss at all was on two occasions at this one store, where they claimed I had returned something late, and I really hadn't. First time, I was supposedly a day late. The second, it was 11 days. I can see being a day late and not realizing it, but 11 days? I think I'd know if I was that much overdue.Quoth Seanette View Post

same here; the one time i did have a fee, it was on a movie that sucked so badly that i returned it the same day (the store wasn't far from my house), but it was counted as late.
somehow, i survived without raising a huge fit, making threats or storming off.

I had a video store tell me that of three movies I returned, at the same time, two were late. Happily, the MOD decided that the logic of my argument was sufficient to remove the late fees.
Apparently, a new employee decided to flake off on getting on the work done at night, including checking in dropped videos.
