Dave, weren't you being recorded by management anyway for quality assurance? And if you didn't get a perfect score you don't get commission? And no one gets a perfect score?

I really don't know how you can put up with these people that needs everything to be perfect. I mean, NASA needs to be perfect when they send people into space, since lives are at stake, but in the grand scheme of things those vacationers are in la-la land.

I don't have to deal with rich people much, but when ever the rich people start thinking, "oh, let's use the library for a party" the library closes down.
We have two buildings. One is historic and really beautiful. The Mayor decides to use it for lucheons, inviting important (rich) people. So the old library gets shut down. Esp. for the year and the half the main library was closed for renovations. Or one floor, the top floor, gets shut down and the staff can't use the kitchen for lunch because the caterers need to keep the quiches warm for the rich people.

Then two weeks ago, the library closes 2 hours early for a party for the rich people. But any other time the library has to be closed down (like a tropical storm is coming or we are closing the main library for renovations-that's when they shipped up out to the old library, which can't accomodate patrons anymore like the new library, but hell, let's not inconvenience the public by actually being closed) the management doesn't want to close. Because it inconvienence the public. Though somehow little Johnny who has a project due by the end of May just have to finish it by 4pm, because the library has to be set up for the rich people at 7pm.

Anyway, maybe this is all conjuncture, but rich people suck. It's like they don't realize how much they inconvenience people who are working.

Like this one room in the old library that management had us using to look up microfilm. Management took more than 6 months to move the equipment from the old library to the reopened new library. This room we were in had to stay locked. So one day I go wit the key to do my work and these two sisters wanted to see the room "so we can throw a recepetion". I told them they could not, it was not open to the public. Oh, they were polite, but I think they felt it was their right to go where they can't go, and they just had talk enough for me to understand. Finally one of them threw out "I had lunch with the mayor last week..." I gave up and let them stay (they just followed me in to begin with, not even asking if they can come in).

Oh, and the rich lady who was doing her son's homework. I asked her why doesn't she get her son to do the work and she starts telling me the name of the fancy school he goes, and the prep classes he takes and his SAT score, and she might have mentioned the College he was already accepted to. That he wasn't cheating by having his mom do the research.
