Oh, what I'd give to have a blow horn on me right about then.

Me, the Sadistic One: Oh, ma'am, hang on. I think I hear a dolphin right now. (Put blowhorn to the receiver and blair it)

As someone who lives in a tourist town, let me say this:

People who LIVE in a tourist town, seldom bother with all the major attractions and other tourist-y stuff, explicity so we can avoid folks like dave had to deal with in the initial post.

"I'm sorry, but all the dolphins were caught up in the tuna nets some time ago. We do have a very nice fish tank in the lobby though."

And it appears Evil Irv has gotten out of his cage again. Time to lure it back with Golden Oreos....

You know, I hear in the news that drug abuse is becoming a worsening problem in this country. Dave's customers clearly reflect that. They act quite a lot like the drugged-out hillbillies around here after they come out of the makeshift drug labs scattered thoroughout the city.

This reminds me of the visitor we had at Glacier Nat. Park, I grew up in MT and most of my friends worked at the park in the summer time. I will never forget when my best buddy T calls me busting a gut. One of the out of state visitors asked her where they put the bears at night and what time they let them back out in the morning.

So she refuses to make any decisions on her own so when things don't work out she can blame someone else. A devious plan indeed.

Next year she should take the family to the Mouse, that is the ONLY way she will know exactly when the dolphins come out (show times are 8, 8:45, 9:15....) The Mouse is also the way she will know and be able to guarantee how good the food and service is.

After reading 30 of these posts you have to wonder where your guests are getting so spoiled? Are some CS people humoring her to get her off their backs?

"Yes mam... Bob the Dolphin will be out at 8:42 am for his morning stroll and pipe. This is the best time to catch a glimpse. Bob might also pause and pose for pictures and give the kids autographs. "

"The service was good... but they were not psychic and precognitive. I like for people to know what I want, before I want it, and what will happen before it happens and be exact about it. Otherwise, I'm going to complain to the management"

These are the people who have found that complaining will get them freebies from management. You can tell generally spot them in the wild fairly quicly, however every once in a while, you will get a surprise attack. Those attacks can be most deadly, the unwary customer interface personnel has little time to formulate a reaction plan.

As I am sure you have inferred from this site, there are a number of different tactics the SC uses, from whining to full out assault (sometimes both verbal and physical) or an escalating combo of both (the refuge of the weak).

But in answer to your question, the SC is by product of our consumer driven life styles, the overwhelming push to never take no for an answer, and genetics (many short men with short penises were born to be SC, their giant A$$es are used to balance out their other deficiencies )

Sad, the SC and consumer driven life style are two of the building blocks that support our lifestyles, modest or otherwise.

I found out what happens when all the SC and big consumers stop buying, the little guys jobs go away. My job disappeared because there was no demand. No one was buying, building or selling 1st, 2nd or 3rd homes, and land, so no need to employ surveyors or CAD drafters. I wish they would come back... I'll take a ton of abuse for my old salary and health and dental insurance.

As for my question about where the SC's get spoiled... I am guilty about going out of my way, and jumping through hoops to please a customer that was teetering on the edge of becoming a SC. Sadly when they came back they expected the same service every time.

Still I love vacation rental's posts... keep em coming

I guess this means I should have been mad at the staff at the aquarium this weekend when the sea turtle or otters wouldn't stay still long enough for me to get better pictures of them doing their thing.
