It really is. Come to the UK and go exploring Scotland. Our countryside is just amazing. We have towns such as Stirling which are small in size but have so much heritage and stuff to do in them.

When I win the lotto. Or somehow find money. The UK is one of the places that I want to visit... and yeah, I'm sure I'd visit Edinburgh and London... and Stonehenge and Hadrian's Wall and the Cliffs of Dover... and the Tower of London... and wanna go on the Eye... but I'd probably spend time in some towns hunting out the best pubs and wandering the countryside... finding peaceful and beautiful places to just ground myself in.

Oh Edinburgh is rubbish. There is about a days worth of fun to be had. If you do come see London, Manchester and then come to Scotland. Go to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fort William, Stirling and Aberdeen. And if you really feel like it get a boat or plane to one the outer Hebrides.

PA takes about 5-6 hours to drive across. With that said, I-80 has the most boring scenery of all the roads I've ever been on. There's very little to look at.
Come a little farther on I80... we've got a stretch that's 40-45 miles laser straight, 37 miles between exits and dead level ... you can see the earth's curvature (Bonneville Salt Flats)

LOVED Stirling! LOVED IT TO DEATH! When I go back to the UK I will be going there again and spending more time to explore it farther.

When I planned my 45 day trip to UK/Ireland I made sure to include other areas to go to that were easily accessible by train or bus. Alas... Glamis Castle in Scotland needs a better bus route to and from Dundee.......

Never been to Bonneville, but a certain orange car has. Dad stopped there while driving it back from California Supposedly, in that area, the car saw 120mph

One place I'd like to hit up, is Norway...especially Stavanger, where my ancestors came from. From what I've seen, the scenery is pretty cool

If you come to the UK come to norwich. Everyone forgets it, but for a while it was being considered as the capital along with london because at the time it was richer and just as large. So imagine how much history it has! Also, a pub for every day of the year and a church for every sunday, a complete norman castle, relatively complete city walls dating from the 1300's, and you can walk across most of it in a few hours. There's a huge amount of history packed into a tiny, tiny city.

I am going to stirling for university and the universityy is stunning! And Stirling is described as a city which is just metropolis feel as it is just filled with students. Can I ask if you visited Glasgow or Edinburgh? As for Dundee bus services are not one of its worthwhile features.

maybe we can just rent it out to WI or Canada?
No. The UP would make the state of WI look funnier. And harder to draw.

Now if we're counting winter driving I've had a trip where I drove over 8 hours and was still in the U.P.
Texas rancher visits Israel, everyone tells him about this huge farm he has to go and see. He visits the place and is met by the farmer.

Texan: "I hear tell that this is the biggest farm in these parts?"

Israeli farmer: "Well, it starts down there by those trees, the other end is way over there by those rocks, and it goes all the way back down to the stream."

Texan: "Is that all? Why back home in Texas I've got a spread where I can get in my tractor in the morning and drive all day, and I still haven't reached the other end!"

Israeli farmer: "Yeah, I had a tractor like that once..."

Quite a few Europeans head to southern NJ for the beaches.
I lead the charge when it comes to making fun of New Jersey....but I will absolutely defend the Jersey Shore from mockery. The Jersey Shore rocks, and the Euros who go there are smart and have taste. I love the Jersey Shore.

Too bad it's attached to the rest of New Jersey.

...the many Americans who come to say the UK and congregate for some reason on landmarks only. They fail to get outside of london and Edinburgh a world exists.
I would totally see things beyond London. Of course, if I ever went to England, I would be visiting my sister, who lives in Salisbury, five miles from Stone Henge, and about 90 minutes from London, so I would HAVE to see things other than London, even if that wasn't already my nature.

And of course the masochist in me would want to visit Surrey to try to find my ex-fiance. Stupid, stupid masochistic side.

It's not just that, it's that the US is very large compared to European countries, and the UK. In the EU, you travel for a day or two, and you're in another country, often. In the US, you might be in the same state, still. When you can travel like that, then you often won't bother leaving the country.

Planes are a bit of a different matter, mate.

Though, I must say, would you mind moving your country a bit closer? Those 10 hour flights across the Atlantic suck.

Exactly. South Jersey is freaking awesome. The northern part? Not so much. The only thing that sucks in southern NJ...is the traffic caused by a certain traffic light in Dennis Twp
