We have had people, both times the eledrley try to fit their Crown Vic into a carriage corral.
Come to think of it, I've seen a few that would *almost* hold a Crown Vic... but then you couldn't get the doors open. A car with less girth could probably even do it without scratching the paint, if you don't mind climbing out the sunroof.

My favorite corrals are at a Winn-Dixie in Athens, corner of Lexington Highway and Gaines School Road. If it's still in business, though I suppose the "corrals" would still be there regardless. No bars or anything, just a flat space (if I remember rightly, the wrong shape to park in) painted yellow and surrounded by a row of yellow reflectors, the same kind you see down the middle of the highway. At least if someone does try to park in one, it won't cause any damage.
Now the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed.

I saw the funniest thing a few days ago on my way to work. I pass by a shopping center. The cart corral is in the middle of the parking lot, as usual, but there was a car in it, rather than carts. The carts were gathered all around the car, entirely trapping it within the corral. I actually saw a few customers returning their carts to a space behind the car in the corral! It wasn't (only?) the employees.
SC: "Are you new or something?"
Me: "Yes. Your planet is very backwards I hope you realize."
