    Did...

Did she threaten bodily harm...because she *ONLY* had 2 tvs...on vacation? *brain kernel panicks*

Who goes on vacation, then sits in the room and watches tv? I can watch tv from home, on my nice home system. I turn my tv on for one reason on vacation (assuming my vacation isn't in a tent, and is in a hotel): To check out, if the hotel allows it from the TV. I get my weather on my cell.
    Coworker: Distro of choice?
    Me: Gentoo.
Coworker: Ahh. A Masochist. I thought so.

Exactly! The whole point of a vacation is to get away from it all, is it not?

When I stayed at the YMCA of The Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado, I knew full well that there might not be a TV in my cabin, and yet, I was fine with that

What happened to the spineless managers? It's nice that Dave can finally hang up on abusive customers, and the SCs just have to suck it up.

I can actually understand why someone would want each bedroom to have a tv. If you are traveling with kids, particularly teenagers, I could understand wanting to avoid an argument regarding who gets the bedrooms with TVs and who doesn't. Of course, that does not excuse this SCs behavior.

Whenever I went on vacations with my extended family (which I have heard many people don't do) or with the families of my mom's friends from UMD (which I have also heard is not too common) I generally shared a room with three other people and we would kind of treat it like a slumber party and we would watch movies at night but if there wasn't a tv in the room we would be sad for about a minute and then find something else to do, after all it is vacation and you either make the best of whatever happens or you ruin your chance to have fun.

Did anyone else's brain just come to a screeching stop or was it just mine?

There's TWO OTHER TVS. Watch one of those! Sheesh.
We've seen some of Dave's guests complain that the sand at the PUBLIC beach looked 'messy', and demanded he send someone out to go groom it immediately.

Threatening bodily harm with TVs is one of the LESS cuckoo things we've seen.

One thing my mother taught me very young. One does not make the threat of physical violence unless one is willing and able to carry it out.

I knew my mother was leaving something out when she told me not to threaten to beat up other kids: "... unless you're really going to do it." :P
I never threaten anyone. Why give them a warning?

I'm a very short woman. I'm exempt from giving warnings.

...And that's when you unplug the TVs and ban the use of them, or better yet, take one of the rooms with a TV, and cram the kids into the other TVless rooms, therefore it doesn't matter any more.

Oh wait. SC. That's right. I blame a momentary lapse of judgment. It won't happen again, Your Honor.

I heard HAL the whole time.

I'm afraid that is unacceptable, Dave.
I thought there would be a TV in every room, Dave.
I will cut your fucking balls off, Dave.
                        ME TOO, OMG.

And to those of you who never watch TV on vacation, and don't know why you would want a TV on vacation, because the idea of "vacation" is that it is TV-less...

Allow me to direct your attention to Exhibit A: DD and Husband.

We watched tons of movies on our honeymoon, for heavens sakes. You know, between visiting Seattle and going to fabulous restaurants and playing in the snow and snuggling by the fireplace. And, you know, other activities. Movies are awesome, the resort we were staying at had a little rental facility where you could pick some out and rent them for like a quarter or something. We watched probably 10 movies while we were there, plus TV.

Hell, on our WEDDING NIGHT, at the hotel, we spent 80% of the time watching Iron Chef.

Point is, for some people, vacation means being able to relax and do absolutely nothing. Get take-out, create a pillow fortress complete with blanket attachments, and watch the 50 hour Iron Chef Marathon.

whenever i am on vacation i prefer to have a tv in the room, if it's not there then it's not a big deal but i prefer it, simply so i can chuck it on the news or sports channel whilst i'm getting changed or waiting for other people.

Guest: Dave, I dont like being hung up on. Now you've really made me angry. You get me my goddamn TV's or I will cut your fucking balls and feed them to you and I am not even kidding.

Guest: Dave, I dont think it was necessary to call the police on me. I was angry with you and rightfully so. It was righteous indignation. How dare you. I have never been so humiliated as when the cops showed up here. I felt like a criminal thanks to you.
Well, you are a criminal! You made a threat of bodily harm, and that is a crime, last I checked.

Bit of clarification for some of these comments:

She isn't complaining there's only 2 tvs, she's complaining that only 2 of the 4 bedrooms have a tv. I'm certain the house has at least 2 other tvs in common areas.

Personally, I don't watch tv. I do have a tv, but it's only hooked up to my dvd player. Instead of paying for cable, I'd rather buy dvds.
Last month, I brought a woman I'd gone out with a couple times back to my place for the first time. She was absolutely shocked that I didn't have cable. She exclaimed "but everybody NEEDS tv!"
That relationship didn't last very long.

Mine is the same way - I only have a TV to hook it up to the DVD player and PS2. We don't get any channels. So you're not alone there.

Dave, do you have a manager with some remaining vestiges of spine now or were you just too fed up to keep taking it?
