Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!

I'm horrified that no one else said that one yet!
        You're slipping!

That's why I keep a list of busy work chores that I made up for myself. Sometimes you just have to walk away from certain customers when the transaction is finished, and they can't really argue against the employee having a job to do. Even if they do complain about rudeness or some such nonsense because I didn't indulge their monologue, I can say I was trying to get other tasks from the list finished since the customer no longer needed my assistance.

No, the problem is that it is not.

Or am I being too cocky?

Jeez, what a schmuck. Willy ever learn to watch his ramblings? Perhaps he should just go to the golf course and work on his putz. It's a schlong shot, but worth a try.

But seriously, tell your boss what happened and ask what to do next time. Unfortunately, there are a lot of jerks out there who get their jollies off of squicking out customer service workers (especially if they're young, attractive and too naive to know to call management / police / psych ward). We should not have to put up with that, especially since it can be considered sexual harrassment.

Reminds me of the time some old man came in and started telling me about how, if he doesn't take a certain pill, he'll just start peeing everywhere when he lies down to sleep...My brain sort of seized up, too.
