I could use your help. Two xmas ago mom made me a mini sock monkey quilt. I love sock monkeys. So I have been collecting fabric scraps and such to add on to the mini quilt.I want to make it into a king sized quilt. Ugg I dont know where to begin. But yeah that woman is a bitch. She should have been very clear on what she wants.

This is what part of it looks like.
I made a quilt from that fabric for my SO's niece! Sadly, I didn't take a picture. It was my first and only quilt too.

Adding onto an already completed quilt can be a tricky thing. It can be difficult to match exact colors and patterns, especially if the fabric is out of print. If it's done well, you'd hardly notice it. Done badly, it ruins both quilts. You also have to match the original quilting, which sounds simple but it can be akin to trying to forge someone else's name. I have a unique quilting style - every quilter does, and trying to copy someone else's exactly can be difficult.

Bottom line, it can be done, but it depends on if the fabric is still available and how to quilting is done.
Tell me about it. My paternal grandmother tried to repair a quit my maternal great grandmother made for me when I was a baby (last quilt she ever made). It came out looking terrible. My mother cried when she saw it.
They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.
