Entitlement Whore Neighbor Upstairs woke me up from a dream with all the CRASH CRASH BANG BANG BANG STOMP STOMP STOMP BOOM BOOM BOOM she made by thudding across her living room and into her bedroom. Just saw her latest boyfriend carrying the biggest TV I ever saw in my life. Don't give a flying fuck if it's Black Friday or not. You are NOT an elephant. (well, neighbor might be a cow, but....)

My brother and I did the Black Friday thing this year. I wasn't there, but I promised to reimburse him if he's able to find a good deal on a TV below a certain price. He did so he got one for me and his gf got one for them. He was also going to get me an hdmi cable but he wanted to get the hell out of there asap.

I am so done with the Black Friday rush for this year.

We had a line from our entrance to the vacant grocery store on the other end of the strip mall. This is probably the most people I've seen lined up outside the door for a Black Friday.

Then the doors opened at 12, and people started filing in as all us employees lined up on either side of the doors and clapped, because....eh, I don't know. It encourages them, I guess.

And then as people are still streaming in some guy says to me "There might be a trampling back there." Which there obviously wasn't--I'm sure I'd have heard a lot more screaming and hollering. So why try to egg people on?

First hour and a half was batshit crazy, after that it slowed down a lot. My job was carrying out furniture and TVs--I didn't do much of that at all. I mostly spent my time sitting on the pallets of furniture and swigging coffee. I hope to have that same job again next year.

In stupid Wally World tricks--a customer told the store manager employees at the local Wally World Inbred Carnival were telling customers the clearance swamp didn't get its truck, and thus had no TVs to sell at all. He relayed this to us and I told him if my phone had any juice, I'd snap some pictures of the skids of TVs sitting around the back room and send that along to their store manager.

Oh, and finally, in conjunction with all the Black Friday craziness, the company did some special deals through the online store, and it didn't go well at all. Apparently the rush of shoppers there crashed the server or something. Lots of angry people posting angry comments to our Facebook page. Either they need to shell out to upgrade the servers or stop doing these deals, because it seems every time something goes sideways, people aren't able to complete their purchases, and they get mad and become ex-customers.

More later maybe, but right now I really need to get in the shower and then into bed. It's been a very long night.

I am working 8-5 today and then I am off tomorrow. I was supposed to work 8-4 but realized that someone had messed up and scheduled no one to run the main register between 4-5. I decided to be nice and told my boss I could work till 5.

I am still wondering exactly who thought having warehouse day on Black Friday was a good idea.

I hate this with a passion. It does not encourage me at all.

With me being in the Construction Industry, I am off on Black Friday per Union Contract. I have ventured out far enough to get something for breakfast and a newspaper. I DO NOT plan on going back out unless it is to the grocery store. The girls went out shopping from 10 pm last night and came home at 7:30 am. Little Bits said that they saw some crazy sights and went to bed.

I worked Thanksgiving from 2:30 pm until 1:45 am. We were the only restaurant with fast food open, and we are a Canadian-based coffee chain. We are also about a mile and a half from the bridge to Canada and less than half a mile from major shopping. I have today off there, but I do work my other job, also in fast food(think chicken and fish dual concept). I am there from 4 pm to close. Bring on the suck.

I got fired from retail and work at a petrol station now. I worked 10pm thanksgiving night to 5am friday morning. It was busy from 10 till around 1am and was COMPLETELY dead for the rest of my shift.

I worked 12 noon to 6:30 yesterday and it sucked so massively. I work 3-10:30 tonight. I'm off tomorrow and I'll be going to see the Muppets movie with my parents, brother, sister, and my sister's family.

I went in at 1:00 this morning 'cause I overslept. (I was supposed to be there at midnight). It was expectedly busy until 3:30 am, and then it died. Cashiers were sent home early! Apparently our AP team did excellent with crowd control, but the Wally World down the road had an incident. I heard there was a fistfight that led to blood. I'm supposed to be sleeping, but my head is pounding. And I'm supposed to go out with friends tonight....

According to an article about the incident in your local newspaper, nobody was arrested.
