I like this. In fact, I would definitely have high-fived the manager, and I hate that gesture, but in this case it would have been fun!

Being cheerleaders does NOTHING to prepare them for the real world. How would it look on a resume?

I'm sure those cheerleaders' mothers would love to know that they smoke, got arrested, and harrass employees!
Methinks somehow that they may know already and may, in fact, be the demonstrable cause of their offspring's behaviour

Apart from teamwork, fitness & communication skills..?

The being a bitch part isn't the standard skill set taught (so says a man currently dating an ex varsity cheerleader who is currently on a fast stream career develeopment programme). [/off topic]

Typical attitude of cheerleaders, if you ask me. They sound like the ones I went to high school with! You think you're better than everyone else because you can wear some stupid uniform and do a few splits and shake some pompoms? These girls should get a life! Being cheerleaders does NOTHING to prepare them for the real world. How would it look on a resume?
Cheerleading is developing into a competitive sport.

In short, they've moved from hangers on to actual jocks.

Still, not all cheerleaders (or jocks) are assholes.

Just enough to perpetuate the stereotypes.

The high-fiving thing seems like a dumb "yeah, you just got TOLD" thing, to emphasize to the person seeing it that they just got insulted and it was awesome. (It wasn't.)

I don't think the parents will necessarily get pissed off about harassing the workers, though. I just have too much cynicism, and think that the cheerleaders got those attitudes as much from their parents as from their peers.

The cheerleaders sound brain-damaged, which is about what the cheerleaders in my high school were too. Hey let's all be in remedial classes for four years so we can jump around in dresses - we're smart! I know not all cheerleaders are human wastelands, but these two sure don't help dispel the stereotype.

Sadly, it seems every new generation of kids is just becoming more rude and disrespectful. Just goes to show that being in the Scouts does not mean you're not a lazy, entitled little brat. I give it a few more years before adult brats in the military can sic their mommies on drill sergeants for making them do push-ups and then sue for emotional distress.

We would never act like that when I was in Boy Scouts. IF I were a Scoutmaster, I would never tolerate that.

Glad those cheerleaders got what they deserved! If those immature spoiled brat cheerleaders were my kids, believe me they would've been in for a serious grounding and then some for that kind of behavior...hell I'd have them pulled from the team for that for the remainder of the season and next year too!

This is why I'd HATE having to wait on sports teams, jocks, or other groups of "kids". They're rude and inconsiderate. Speaking of cheerleaders (que fond high school memory) I remember a cheerleader tried to bully me in high school. She ended up with a black eye and a bloody nose, and I ended up being suspended for three days.

I'm glad those jerks got what they deserved, and those girls will be "cheering" from the greybar motel.

My word. How awful that you were subjected to such nastiness.

Take comfort in the fact that a) they had to spend some time at the police station, and b) these high school years will probably be the highlight of their lives. It doesn't get more pathetic than that.

My junior high was filled with offensive people like those two. Fortunately I switched to an awesome high school and never had to deal with them again. Sometimes I go back to the old neighborhood and find out what happened to those people. Let's just say that they are the poster children for karma.

I've met some awesome women who were cheerleaders, and the funny thing is, most of them admit that thet were raging asshats in school, but a quick dose of reality changed all of that and are now caring, thoughtful individuals.
Life goes on, people change. I'm an unrepentant geek and some of my best friends now were helet haired jocks in their high school days

I agree. Those were rather poor examples of Boy Scouts.

Our standards were higher in my troop as well. One our best moments was at a wilderness camp where the camp ranger had to make sure your campsite was clean and tended before you left. We almost got in trouble because the ranger couldn't find our campfire pit to check that we properly cleaned it. He was getting mad about it too, when one of the scoutmasters just pointed to a random spot of pine needles.
