Isn't the wallet an amazing invention? It's a nice, clean, convenient place to store your cash, all safe and snug, until you need it. And it's so small and light you can carry it anywhere! I think most people would agree that it's a much better place to store your money than, say, a sock.
Yesterday after I totaled up a woman's purchases, she pulled off her shoe and sock, pulled a crinkled wad of money out of the sock, and dropped it on the counter; apparently even she was too grossed out to touch it. Well, I took that damp, stinky money, and after she left, washed my hands.
And that's not even the worst place the money could come from. I've heard of customers pulling money out of their bras or even their underwear like some cheap magic act
From now on I'm keeping wet-naps behind the counter.
