At a recent concert I worked out, we had the following complaints.
1. The tickets said the show started at 7:30, but the main act wasn't on stage until 8:45 - and this was advertised on our website. I didn't think anything of it with support acts and what not (which was a DJ), but the amount of people that came up to us complaining that the main act wouldn't be on until 8:45 was staggering. Seriously, have these people never been to a concert before? There is almost always a support act, and the tickets even said 'plus special guests'.
Best part was one patron was complaining about it, and another patron turned around and told them 'it was on the website the main act starts at 8:45pm'! Lets just say I was very lenient with that patron when they stood in an aisle way later that night.
As 8:45pm got closer, one person told me it should have been advertised. I told them it was on various websites. They disputed this, saying it wasn't. I saw it myself - it had been up for several weeks, but she was adamant the running times were never advertised.
By 8:45 we were being flat out abused by patrons because of this.
2. We had to reseat an unusually high amount of people because people were arguing with each other in their seats.
3. Later in the show, someone was standing in an aisle way, so I asked them go back to their seat. They refused, saying it was too cold. I mentioned that a) they're standing in a no standing area (aisle ways are fire escape routes so have to be clear at all times) and b) the air-conditioning is at the request of the artist (found that out at a show earlier in the year).
The response I got was mind-boggling - they said we should advertise this so people can bring more clothes before storming out. This person honestly expected us to magically guess what temperature the artist wants the auditorium to be in and advertise it accordingly.
