I'd call her Queen Entitlement, but I suspect she's about twelve.

"hi i saw the husky fur sute that you had up for sale iv been looking for a fur sute and i really want one but right now i have no mony to pay for one and i love the furry comunity and id was wondaring if you wuld be intrasted in donating it to me i know its alot to ask and that you probly wuldent be intrasted but respon as soon as you can."

Seriously. Seriously. This just now arrived in my inbox. I am FLOORED. I've had people ask for freebies before, but never a FULL FURSUIT. I charge $1,400 for them! This kid wants one thousand and four hundred dollars worth of FREE just for asking! Good gravy WHO DOES THAT? "i know its alot to ask"? Well if you know it's "alot" to ask, WHY ARE YOU ASKING?

Gah, I am so damn boggled! This absolutely takes the frigging CAKE.

      Benefit of a doubt

I would give her a little lee-way. At 12 she may know that asking for free is a deal, but not realize how much of a deal.

I didn't say she WAS 12, I said I suspected it, simply from the way she writes.

Turns out she's 15, and "can't" get a job and "can't" earn any money.

And I'm sorry, but at ANY age where you're capable of typing, you should know better than to ask for MORE THAN A THOUSAND BUCKS OF FREE STUFF.

          15? I was guessing more like 8.

            Bwuah?!

I would almost want to ask if I could speak to her parents.

A 15 year old that types like that? Any chance of redlineing her original email with a 'see me after class' note?

Maybe the girl is part of a rich family and is used to getting whatever she wants. That's a real stupid way to think before starting out in life. But someone needs to teach that brat that she can't have expensive things for free just because she "ASKED" for them.

I would have laughed my butt off and walked away from that request. Hope you did the same!

At 15 she should be old enough to know better than even to make such a request ... but she's obviously not quite there yet. She may be thinking, "Nothing to lose; the worst she can do is say 'No' ...."

And like a lot of people of all ages, I'll bet she hasn't a clue about the amount of work involved in making a fursuit.

I'd cut her just enough slack to write a polite refusal and also give a thumbnail description of the amount of time and work you put into one of these and what it normally sells for. Never lose an opportunity to educate ...

I gave her a bit of a lecture about luxuries vs. necessities

Her response was "OK i get it"

You own a business, not a charity. If she wants a fur suit, she can pay for it.

She comes across as someone too stupid to realize when enough is enough. $1,400 is too much to give as a handout.

We had a far less sucky version of this pop up on our local forum. A newbie started a thread asking if anyone would be interesting in lending him their suit to just goof around in. I and a couple others very nicely explained to him that it wouldn't be possible unless it was for a specific event.

Or she might subscribe to the belief that: The worst you can do is say NO.

Forgetting that you can also ridicule her on the internet.

I'd tell her that of course you can donate it to her, but first you need a reciprocal donation of $1,400. Plus shipping.

Can't exactly say she's capable of typing. Not after reading that gibberish she created.
