On another note,
We also had to charge a renter around $200. He rented a few dvds over a month ago (2 day rental) and wouldn't return them. He would ignore any attempt to contact him. So charged with late fees and the movies themselves.
Reminds me of my video store days. We had one customer who would rent 2 or 3 movies and disappear for weeks on end - I think he worked in the oil fields. When he came to return them, he'd have HUGE late fees, which he always paid without complaint. I told him it would be cheaper to just buy the movies. He just said "Nah, then I'd just have all these tapes lying around". I eventually started giving him massive discounts on his late fees for the less popular movies.
