If you don't like it, dump it and try something else."


*- well, it'll boot, but Windows won't load except for safe mode or last-known-good. Also, it was the "free" version provided by Roadrunner, not a retail install. What a mess. I'm just glad I was able to clean it up. He uses that comptuer to watch movies (piped to the TV, of course) and wouldn't have been happy to come home and find it not working. If worse came to worst though, I have a damn small linux disc I could've booted it to for temporary movie playing.
