Score! I've been looking for servers to play on! I've got a mic too! So we can trade trash talks!
Its a great server and most of the regulars have mics so you get a lot of chatter. Usually takes a few minutes of sitting in auto-retry to get on though since its popular.

Bah, still better than sifting through the list looking for servers without clan tags, as those tend to be less fun for me ('cause I suck most of the time )

You should now begin getting into the emotional shitstorm arc of the game. The final case in particular is a clusterfark. =p

Once I get done with PW3, I need to start thinking about the next title(s) to get for portables. I may have to check out Manhunt 2 for PSP. I'm REALLY interested in Manhunt 2 in general, but if they screwed it up for the portable, forget it. Actually, Silent Hill Origins may be a better choice. Under normal circumstances, I'd consider FFT, but I've already played and beaten it for the PS1...I don't really see the purpose in doing it all over again.
My next purchase is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj5vCoBlo98

Phoenix Wright with doctor's + overly dramatic ER storyline? Heck yes. Its suppose to be out over here on Tuesday... ^^

PS. Manhunt 2 sucks ( Even more then Manhunt 1 ). No point whatsoever to the game aside from shock value and it pales in comparison to half of what Hollywood churns out ( Saw anyone? ). I still don't see what the big deal is. But then again I'm not desperately searching for the next thing to blame my complete lack of parenting skills on or generate news ratings based on alarmism. ;p

Looks like Trauma Center. Only with an effeminate hero instead of hot nurses and without the mutant killer alien whatever-the-f***-it-was virus pissing you off. Don't get me wrong, I liked Trauma Center.... except for when they make you do surgery in a dark tunnel only lit by your car's headlights. Then the headlights die and you can only see by a camera flash, but the battery is low so you don't get that many flashes to use. Oh the pain. The pain of it all.

Ugh, Manhunt. I should stop dreaming of creating a legendary game and just make some steaming pile of digital crap. But put something extremely controversial in it to piss off the "games make children shoot everyone" bitches and get loads international attention. Then my game will sell untold quantities on reputation alone, and by the time everyone figures out it's total ass I'll have purchased a small tropical island paradise to spend the rest of my days, and my vast fortune. I'll also buy some cruise missiles to launch at Uwe Boll's island and wipe it off the face of the earth.

I'm on the third case now. Man, I love the Phoenix Wright Series...and i LOVE your icon. haha.

After PW, I'm gonna start on Phantom Hourglass, then Rune Factory. I also purchased Brain Age 2 today, but I'm too into PW to open it. xD

Honestly, I'm enjoying Manhunt 2, but there's a number of problems. For one, no, it doesn't really share the "charm" of the original Manhunt. I have no idea what's going on. Normally, that creates a sense of suspense, but in this case, it gets more annoying than anything. It's also overly easy, which doesn't QUITE make up for the control systems constant failures, but does make it acceptable enough that when it DOES fail along with the AI on a frequent basis, you should still be able to truck through the levels with few deaths.

I loved the original Manhunt, but much like in this one, they introduced guns far too soon. I say that because the main draw of Manhunt is the stealth. Sure, the gore is nice if you like that (LIKE ME ), but I liked the fact that Rockstar got the whole stealth thing down juuuuust right. In fact, it had me yearning for the days of Tenchu and glad that there was a happy medium between that and Splinter Cell (too hard for me, but still intriguing).

I hadn't tried the one surgery title for the DS, so I'm still interested in that, but also the new one, as displayed in the youtube vid. In any case, there's a good chance I'll tackle Manhunt 2 before I have to take it back. I would've been willing to recommend this title to bloodlusters, but unfortunately enough of it was censored that it's kinda dumb. The Wii controls for it would be nice, though.

Speaking of Rockstar and controversiality in general, anyone ever try Bully? Personally, I thought it got a bad wrap, but overall, was a very good game. Both it and The Warriors are the only Rockstar games I've ever beaten. And yes, The Warriors kicks ass too.

Playing Hellgate:London now as a marksman**. So far, this is a pretty cool game for anyone who enjoyed the Diablos. I particularly like the "you are soooo screwed" storyline right off the bat.

I may start playing online soon. If so, I'll post so anyone interested can meet up.

**Yes, I play a sniper/sneaky bastard in most of the games I play. I'm particularly nasty about finding oddball places to shoot from. I don't cheat, or use known bugs to gain advantage, just the pure psychology of not being where people expect. When people are screaming about "!$*%ing Snipers!" they're talking about me. This is also why I suck at TF2. I'm not a run-and-gun player. I like to set up a kill field and let people wander in.

Ah Geek King, you too eh? The first thing I made was a marksman, and I'm much more comfortable with the lying in wait for my prey.

Now, specific to Hellgate: London. Anyone familiar with old Canadian comedy shows (I'm really trying not to give too much away here), keep an eye out for Mac Kenzie. I darn near bust a gut on meeting that NPC.

Anymore, I really enjoy shooting games, but I'm a bit bipolar in them...let me explain. I'm sure I'm just like a lot of other people in here when it comes to my background in playing FPS and TPS games (TPS = third person shooter). What I mean by that is I first started with Wolfenstein, then Doom, later I went on to enjoy titles such as Goldeneye, Doom 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Rise of the Triad, Shadow Warrior, and plenty of others.

In any case, I've become good at being slow and stealthy as well as quick yet accurate. Therefore, the situation determines my behavior mostly. There have been situations where I pull out a sniper rifle because I'm getting ready to take a vantage point, somebody surprises me, but I still manage to get in a quick headshot (this has happened in Resident Evil 4, No One Lives Forever, and a number of other titles).

There are other times where I'm taking my time, using effective cover, staying in the shadows...and somehow I get caught in an ambush. I love it, though, because it breaks up the sometimes monotonous stealth and allows me to tear through a wave of enemies. It can suck in some titles were stealth is key (Splinter Cell) but in other titles, it can greatly help the game overall (Manhunt 2, Max Payne 1&2, F.E.A.R., etc.).

I'm definitely interested in Hellgate, but I don't know if my system will play it.

So yeah...beat Manhunt 2 and got the go ahead to review, at least to see how you guys like it. I think there were a few executions here and there that I missed, but out of all of them, I think my two favorites are buzz saw on extreme and garrote wire on extreme. Personally, the buzz saw on extreme is what I want to do to about 90% of our customers that chew me out when I walk them through step by step while powercycling...only to find that that's all they needed.

As for table top RPG Chaosiums Call of Cthulu, the original WOD games like Risen and Vampire. I some of the new WOD as well, espeically Promethean.

PS2 I love the Smackdown vs Raw series and the Final Fantasy games (going all the way back to the orginal 8bit Nintendo which I still have and play)
Actually I have the Nintendo, Super NES, and the PS2 with games on them all, even the little known Inindo. Love that game.

PC, I love the Diablo and Elder Scrolls games. IMO Elder Scrolls are the closest thing to a true RPG you can get on console or computer these days. Still spend hours doing some old school gaming like Bard's Tale and the Ultima Series, Might and magic, Magic Candle

and I now see why I have no life.........

Was that the RPG where you play an Iga ninja out to revenge yourself against Oda Nobunaga for slaughtering your clan?

Yeah, it was. Too bad I couldn't figure out where to go/what to do. By the way, I picked up a few titles last night...

                              Wild ARMs 5 - PS2
                              Jade Cocoon 2 - PS2
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness - X Box

Now, you might be wondering on my choice there. The latter two were in the $10 and under bin. I'd like to point something interesting out, though...on Amazon, JC2 is selling for $17! In any case, I've played CoD before and love it, as far as Wild ARMs, it's actually pretty decent. Haven't popped in JC2 yet.

                              Finally, gotta love Something Awful.
