Tea usually makes me happy, but I've been working the last 2 weeks straight without a day off. Thus - alcohol. Tomorrow I get to sleep in. You have NO idea how much I'm looking forward to that.

Heh, ex roomie used to paint miniatures (D&D or...Warhammer, I think. Can't remember...). I learned LOTS of new words and phrases from him whenever he made a mistake.

Yep, it sucks though when you make just one stray movement and you've ruined like 4 hours of work.

Yes, hence the expanding of Lupo's vocabulary. One small twitch, and then it's swearing up and down while trying to figure out how to fix it or having to start over or something. I usually baked on days he painted miniatures in case he made a mistake. Then I shoved a plate of cookies/muffins/bread/whatever in his face to muffle the cursing.

Hmm...he made a LOT more mistakes when I started baking more... I wonder....

(No, seriously, I've seen the things, anyone who purposefully borks them for baked goods has even more problems than I do!)

Speaking of mistakes, I just did one, ogddamnit black on my paintbrush and sneezing when I have a yellow model (You may or may not know, Yellow, white and Red are REALLY tricky colours to paint) There goes 10 hours of work, now I have to either fix this bit and get it the exact shade, or strip the model and start all over again. I think they heard my wail of despair on the moon.

Funny though, I blame dit on my model and called it a Grot Sniffer.

There CAN be, but it depends on the type of miniature, if I recall correctly. Plus, you have to wait for the original paint to dry (that you made the mistake with) or else you'll just smear the colors and make it worse.

I could be remembering it wrong. I'm on my 4th drink, and memory recall is one of the first things to go, after the shoes, bras and pants. Just sayin.

You can try to repaint just the part thats messed up, but its rather troublesome to get the shades quite the same so it doesn't stand out badly
