Wow.....though technically, that means your dad is the ubergeek, not you. So, points to your dad!

I will make a video of my Dalek soon, as soon as I can get my webcam working. Best part about it, other than the fact that it shouts "EXTERMINATE" and other things, is that the light in the eyestalk actually does glow bright blue, just like in the show.

It's very fun to mash down the controls, making him spin in wild circles, while yelling "WE ARE THE SUPREME BEINGS! OBEY THE DALEKS! NO OTHER WARNING WILL BE GIVEN!"

(a friend and I am compiling a list of "You know you're a geek wench when..." One of my favs so far is: You know you're a geek wench when the words 'Captain Jack' don't make you think 'Sparrow')

According to Doctor Who Confidential the Time Beetle is related to a creature from a Srah Jane adventure. I now found I may need to buy the DVD.

I now need to ge the rest of Torchwood from Netflix, AND the SJS stuff. Sigh. Obviously the ep makes sense without it, but I feel like it might enrich the whole thing a bit. Doubt I can watch my through 2 1/2 seasons in 5 days, though!

It's a snuggly crocheted dalek toy! If you or someone you know crochets, you can get the pattern for free here. It's got some interesting stitches to do, but I'd say it was about mid-level difficulty. I had a blast making one for my Dr. Who crazy friend.

Ooh. Ooh. You know, I bet I could make bits of it glow with some LEDs and a little clever wiring. I wonder if I could cannibalize a laser pointer to use in a beam weapon. That'd be so freaking cool.

I have that. I tend to use it as my "magic wand" when fixing obscenely-simple computer problems for the illiterate ones. That's fun.
