Well I went on my break last night and the episode was on in the staff room. I didn't want to see the last ten minutes, so I turned my chair away. But the girls who were watching it it were shouting, "Oh no!", at the screen, so I turned around and saw him start to ... and To Be Continued.

Needless to say, I watched it as soon as i got home.

There's a trailer for the next episode... those in the UK have probably seen it, those not in the UK probably know where to find it.

Argh, my formerly quiet office is loud now. Everyone who was at the convention has returned, and they all insist on talking all the time!

I have the Dalek. My coworkers will never see it coming. And I doubt the police would be able to write up a decent report for that.

You can see the wonderful Dalek in action here: http://www.viddler.com/explore/SaintJoi/videos/108/
I just watched your video. Cool! Makes me want my own Dalek. I may have to ask my mother to crochet me a Dalek for birthday or Christmas. Every time I hear Blue Danube, it makes me want to watch 2001.

Must have! *drool* I want one to torment my cats with.

Oh well, I got a couple of the series 1 Dalek figures on closeout at Suncoast. They're currently threatening Jack, Martha, K-9, 9&10 Doctors (10 with the 3-D glasses ^_^) and Rose...though I don't think it has a chance against her. Hehehe!

Can't wait for next week's episode. Edge of my seat with Episode 12

            DDD: Cuz it's cool

So, by using the Doctor's reasoning, bow ties, fezzes and bandanas are cool.

Yes, because YouTube is such a wonderful thing

I found myself yelling "NO! It can't end there! Noooo! I can't wait till next Saturday!"

Which is kind of ironic since I'll miss my Doctor Who fix as SciFi is intent on showing a Twilight Zone marathon starting Thursday..meh. I think I'd be a happy fangirl if they were to air maybe Series 1-3 or maybe even the Classic episodes.

Oh well, I have the latest books to keep me company. ^_^

FMA: I adore your avatar. And I CAN NOT WAIT to find out what happens...but I'm a little afraid to! They've set it up so that a lot of loved characters could die or move on or who knows what....But seriously, this weeks ep was one of the most epic TV eps I've ever seen. So incredible!

The r/c Dalek is insanely fun toy, and actually seems to provoke a somewhat nevous reaction in fans of the show. It really does move and sound like a Dalek, which can be a little unnerving at times.

The accountant at work saw, screamed, and slammed the door in it's face.

The Dalek now happily resides in a cabinet in my desk at work, and comes out occasionally on slow afternoons to exterminate my coworkers. It is currently sporting a feathery red hat.

My thought was 'How can they fit that much stuff in there?'

According to Doctor Who Confidential the Time Beetle is related to a creature from a Srah Jane adventure. I now found I may need to buy the DVD.

Sounds like Captain Jack and Captain John.
                    Here's some help:

The Time Beetle is part of the Trickster's Brigade, the head of which is a villain trying to upset the balance of the universe. The "Trickster" uses various means to change the past, removing key individuals from the timeline, often causing massive devastation, and feeding off the residual energy. He does this first in SJA by affecting a moment when she was just a teenaged (no spoilers), and states that he's going after the Doctor next (hence, "Turn Left").

Sarah Jane Adventures aren't bad, although they are quite a bit darker than you might expect. I can't really give details on Luke Smith, since his existence is fairly important to the prologue episode, but he's more the pinnacle character of the series. If Stolen Earth didn't make it clear, however, he's extremely intelligent...probably not as smart as the Doctor, but more than most humans.

As for Torchwood, can't help you there, haven't watched the series yet.

PS, thanks for the Dalek link Just bought one myself to blow off steam while I'm at work. Now, if only I could find a hand-held dalek voice modifier...

I'm going to put this in the most specific way possible: I have burned Campbell's soup. I should not be using electronics.

Bwhahaha! If only it were that quiet at my workplace. I know it will be on the 3rd, but no one where I work knows what Doctor Who is, much less what they'd do if he ever showed up.

Me, I'd just wave bye-bye and snog him silly. Hee! I'm sure hubby would forgive me. ^_^

And thanks - I forget where I found the avatar and I had to have it. Abduct me, dang it, abduct me!

I was sort of on the fence with the Sarah Jane Adventures. I liked it, but you could tell it was very much geared for a younger audience. I will agree they storylines were a bit dark, but I think it could have gone well if the episodes were longer than they were.

As for Torchwood - definitely not for kids. It is very much its own show and does not lend itself to Doctor Who in any way, other than dealing with aliens on earth. No travelling off-world or anything like that. Series 1 is availabe now and Series 2 is supposed to be out in I think September.

I'm a bit miffed because Series 3 is going to be significantly shorter than the first two. I wonder if they're giving Torchwood the same treatment as Doctor Who since it's sort of going to be on hiatus in 2009 with just the 4 specials.
