I have that. I tend to use it as my "magic wand" when fixing obscenely-simple computer problems for the illiterate ones. That's fun.
Hahahahaha! That's excellent! I would love to see that!

I have decided to make a vid of my Dalek in action. I intend to put it in slo-mo, and have the Blue Danube music playing (points for the reference).

Sorry, when someone says "blue box" to me. The first thing pops in my head is blue box D&D edition...... A different breed of geek I guess.
      Another blue box.

I got myself an early birthday present this year--a foot tall remote-controlled Dalek. (Yes I am an uber-geek. I have made my peace with my incurable geekiness) Today half the office was out, so I brought my new friend to work. He threatened to EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! the boss, the accountant, and the tech department. They were having a hard time sitting up straight, they were laughing so hard.

Sometimes it rocks to work here.
        So, are they hiring?

Seriously, that is so cool. Now I know what to ask hubby for for my birthday. He should be glad, other wives want diamonds and fur coats, I just want a remote-controlled toy Dalek!

PS: Christopher Eccleston is my favorite Doctor (I wish he'd done more than one series, he was fantastic!), though Tennant's Doctor is really starting to grow on me. (Just wish they'd let him use his own natural Scottish accented voice...purr!)

Wait...are you telling me that people use the phrase 'blue box' to mean anything different the the TARDIS?
Phone geeks used to use them to make free phone calls. The trick it relied on doesn't work anymore.

I've seen some of the Tom Baker years, but I have a hell of a time. I keep seeing Donald MacDonald from "Monarch of the Glen"!
He seems to think he's still playing the Doctor. There was a rumour he would be the Master last season, but that wend to Derek Jacobi.

Tennant's Doctor is really starting to grow on me. (Just wish they'd let him use his own natural Scottish accented voice.
They did once, in the episode where Queen Victoria establishes Torchwood. I found it funny that in the part where he's lost the scottish accent he's actually putting on an english accent.

I know that, I saw the episode. I mean, I wish they'd let him use his own natural voice all the time, rather than that silly accent they made him affect. I've seen the "Doctor Who Confidential" DVDs and when he's speaking of the role, that lovely Scottish accent comes out and...purr!!!

I'm ok with either accent, honestly. The Brit accent suits the Doctor fine, but thank goodness for the DW Confidential so we can hear that lovely lovely Scottish accent...siiiiigh....

I'd like to get a radio-controlled Dalek, but I think it would traumatize my cat. (She's sixteen years old, diabetic and touchy.)

I do, however, have a sonic screwdriver that I keep by my computer. I also have a sonic screwdriver from the Tom Baker/Peter Davison years.

Tom Baker will always be my Doctor, though I do like David Tennant in the role.

Aye, and I think ya mean his "brrrrrrogue"!

I was in absolute heaven last night. Actually managed to stay up to see Craig Ferguson (he's on at 11:30pm here) and he had James McAvoy on. Just lovely listening to the Glaswegian accents.

All I can say about tonight's episode (Silence in the Library) is....awwwwww! For both the Doctor and Donna.

And shoot, I thought we were gonna get his name!

Tonight's ep? Oh, you're a few weeks behind. they air earlier in the UK, and the wonderful Brits are kind enough to upload them...Wait until you see the ep Turn Left!

Though Silence in the Library is utterly fantastic. I watched it around midnight, and was so freaked out, I slept with the lights on! Seriously creepy, especially the bit about two shadows.

Phhhhhhht!!! This is why I want BBC America!

Yeah, it did have a pretty good creep factor, but that kind of thing never freaks me out like that. (EVPs are the only things that really creep me out.)

I just watched The Stolen Planet. The ending... let's just say it replaced the firing squad scene from one episode of The War Games as the best cliffhanger ever.
