My co-worker relayed this call today:

A woman calls the cable company to find out why certain adult movie charges are on her bill. My co-worker tells her they were ordered from her home. The mother then realizes her 14-year old son has been ordering then. She then asks my co-worker, "Are any of those movies gay movies? I mean, has he been watching them faggy movies?"

My co-worker's mouth dropped & she told the woman that she couldn't tell what type of movies they were from the title. The woman then comments that both her daughter & her believe her son is gay & she figured the movies were gay porn. Both my co-worker & I know a lot of gay ppl & I couldn't believe that woman used the "F" word.

Dear god people...if you suspect these things about your own child, can't you just ask your kid? Don't drag innocent CSR's into the situation! What is wrong with people?

I agree. I seriously doubt that her son would be able to talk to her about the subject, if she's the sort to use that kind of terminology. Especially if she already suspects it and she is still saying such hateful things knowing she is talking about her son. Very, very sad.

At least this one realised it was her son. As to the above, though, there's usually a hint in the title. Shortly after Kill Bill was released, there was a hetero porn flick called 'Fill Jill' and a gay version called 'Drill Bill'.

Well, I'm assured this by my colleagues. They seemed to know what they were talking about, so I let them educate me.

The question I have is who says watching gay porn makes one gay? I know a lot of people that are straight, yet enjoy that sort of thing, matter of preference I would think. But logic doesn't seem to be most SC's strong point.
