Well if she IS saying to customers you have the BEST rates, I can see their point. IF.

Since shift-d.a.v.e. is five keys and shift-v.r.s. is four, we win, actually.
You people do realise you don't have to let go of shift between the v-r and r-s right?
And I get the impression from the posts that calling VRS "Dave" would be aligning yourself with the customer. That's just not done. Dave, for whatever reason, chooses the tag "vacation_rentals_suck" here, not "Dave", and so we should respect that and call him such. VRS is just an abbreviation of the obviously preferred name.

I was also going to comment on that. He chose his screen name for a reason, but from the way I interpret things, I think VRS saves his stories or maybe records his calls.....and does them word for word, which is why we always hear him referred to as "dave".You really need to see a neurologist. - Wagegoth

Although I guess that's what I get for trying so hard to grate Ree's cheese in public...Last edited by JuniorMintz; 02-24-2009, 06:18 AM."This is the first time I've seen you look ugly, and that makes me happy!"

This is a serious issue, this matter of whether we call him VRS or Dave.
The future of the entire forum rests on whether we can come to a consensus on the number of keystrokes and which name is most appropriate.(Grate my cheese, will ya, brat?
)

The syntax of most of the conversations never really feels as if it's genuinely direct quoting.Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

Quoth Irving Patrick Freleigh View PostNope. Nein. Zip. Zilch. Zero. Nada.
It's borderline mentally handicapped to expect a company to tell its customers that they can get a better deal with a competitor, and I for one would not expect them to do so just because other companies might.
I read Dave's first post to mean the girl had said her offer was the best anywhere.
If that was untrue, I can see how he'd be pissed.
But that doesn't mean he deserves to get anything. After all, the better offer might have emerged after he booked his vacation. And I don't think it's her job to monitor the competition's prices.
Once you start telling customers things about prices, then at least be clear and correct about what you're saying.
But as I said, the guy is a world-class shit who doesn't deserve anything he's not willing to pay for. No mercy to scammers. Which is what this guy is.

Actually, I always got the impression his posts were paraphrased from memory rather than word for word.

...I seem to be fairly good at repressing memory and/or forgetting unimportant things.Supporting the idiots charged with protecting your personal information.

Quoth Auto View PostThere's a big diff, however, between saying you're getting our best deal (while not mentioning that other places have even better deals) and saying that our offer is the best you will find anywhere.

It's the guests' (who was a woman btw) problem that she didn't comparison shop. It's floating wicker propelled by fire!
