My family are all SCs when I try to help them. Longish :(
I refuse to do tech support for my family anymore. They always want to watch and nag when I do something they don't like. "Why are you getting rid of that?! Why cant we have that?! No your doing it wrong!!!!"
I established the rule that if they wanted to run the computers there way its there fault when they break. No virus scanner, IE, limewire and other shit, fine, all yours, I'll take good care of my machines over here.
Currently the new thing is blaming me for when their precious facebook games don't work because theres some kind of downtime/maintenance/glitch that I cant solve.
You seem to harbor barbaric tendencies. I suggest you visit a physician at your earliest convenience.

Not with FB, but I feel your pain. My maternal parental unit mostly just uses her computer (that I built for her, out of parts I was no longer using plus a few ebay scraps) for e-mail and some church-related stuff, but when she can't connect to her mail account (3rd-party provider) because the internet outside her phone line is being a pissy little , she freaks out about it, after my repeatedly telling her that there's any number of network issues, all waaaay beyond my control, that could cause the problem, and that she should just try again later.
I love my her, really I do, but... ugh.
No matter how low my opinion of humanity as a whole gets, there are always over-achievers who seek to surpass my expectations.
