The other day, a customer came up to the service desk saying that there was no one in the seafood department so I paged for assistance and the customer headed over. A few moments later, one of the deli employees called from the break room, told me that the seafood employee left, and that the seafood department was closed.
When the customer came back, I told her about the seafood department being closed. The customer complained about the seafood department being closed early and mentioned that she wanted some fish.
I offered to page a manager for her which she accepted so I paged the PIC once I found out who that was. The customer kept making a big deal about seafood being closed and wouldn't accept that it was.
