And it looks "welfare like." Sheesh. My guess is, she's been rich for a while and has forgotten that money doesn't make you better, it just means you have money.
    Doubt she was rich.

More likely she has first-hand experience with being on welfare but has since moved up just enough to want people to know from how she dresses that she's no longer getting benefits.

The moment she calls me a bitch is when I would have bounced her ass out of the store. I wouldn't ask a second time. She leaves or I'd have dialed 911.

We've been getting commercials for a store called Gordman's. (used to be Richman Gordmans, they paired up with the Half Price Store a decade or so ago tho)

The commercials usually show a snooty woman who doesnt want to pay full price for whatever it is she's looking at...shoes, a dress, perfume...and she ends up suggesting that she'd like the item better if it was half off.

The employee usually ends up pouring out half the bottle of perfume, or cutting the dress in half or ripping off a sleeve...chopping the heels off of the high heeled shoes with a machete or something. (not sure about the machete...havent seen that one in awhile)

Then the employee will turn to the customer and says "There...it's half off now".

There was a new commercial the other day, where a nervous male customer is in a lingerie store, apparently trying to buy something for his wife (or maybe for himself, dont think they actually say) and he's holding up a bra and underwear combo in front of himself. Says that he'd like it half off...the employee grabs a pair of scissors, and cuts the underwear off the hanger and says. There you go...it's half off now.

I think they've been pretty creative with those commercials. A few of them, they've gotten the depiction of entitlement whore down pretty well.

It's lingerie... if he's buying it for his wife isn't it better with less?

THis is the point in which you hold the sweater behind the counter, refuse refund, and let her know she is trespassing, and needs to leave before the police are called
So... you want OrcPrincess to steal, just because the customer was an entitled bitch?

And sadly people like this cannot be shoved overboard.

Life isn't fair, I tell ya.
I opt we put up a large plank over the Grand Canyon and start shoving people like her off. OR we could use Niagara Falls. Grand Canyon would be more fun though. THe scream would echo.. LOL

And Orc? *Gives a Barbie doll* For today, just worry about that.

Her: I don't want to pay that.

Ok, then, let me just put this back for you, and you have a great day now! Buh-bye!
              I do this as well!

It usually shocks the person. They do not expect that answer. When they say that they're fishing for discounts or other free things. When it completely backfires like that they don't know what to do.

And then call the police when she gets ornery. Nothing like the great equalizer of a badge to get the entitlement out.
If you hold the sweater and refuse a refund, and order her out, you're actually committing theft at that point.

                  ...as Juwl pointed out, apparently.

*bows* Sorry, I was just a bit faster on the reply. *takes the credit given* Ooo, credit... no idea what I'll do with that... maybe I'll save up for a nice soft plush.

Depends at which point that happens, since the poster quoted the entire story. I couldn't tell if it would be theft or wouldn't be.

What a condescending, arrogant little CUNT!!! I know some people don't like that word, but that's exactly what she is! Yes, she definitely needs to be thrown out of your store and into the

Every time I think I've seen or heard the worst EW behavior...uuuuuh.

The responses from the others here were awesome.

And I agree, she probably wasn't rich, but likes to make everyone think she is.

Oh, and she needs to DIAF.

Some days I just want to stay in bed.

Woman comes in looking for a bolero/sweater jacket. I show her what we have.
She tells me this little gem: "I just want to let you know, I don't pay full price for anything. Sorry." Whatever...you are paying whatever the price is on the tag or just leave.
She should get her ass to a garage sale then, rather than harassing normal shop workers / managers.

One of my big personal pet peeves is phrases like, "I just want to let you know," or, "Just so you know."

"Oh really? Just so I know? Wow, how really genuinely helpful of you. You're not just saying that to be a condescending douche, riiiight?"

That witch deserved to get slapped down, big time.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. I keep hearing oh, just suck it up, and be happy you even have a job. (Understood, trust me I am) I just wish I could do my job, and not have the desire to go to the liquor cabinet half way thru a shift. I shouldn't be suprised. People are morons. But, I sell clothes for deity's sake! I deal with enough corporate crap, and having to open credit cards people don't want....let me just play dress up and get my paycheck!!!!! K. Thanks.

I felt like that the latest shift I worked. Jeez, just because we're happy to have our jobs does not give the customers carte blanche to abuse us. And just because a store is doing well also doesn't give the customer the right to demand an unwarranted discount.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
