Diana was a very selfless person who had a lot to give and share with others. She may not have been very suited for all the dirty things that go on when you are involved with Horse's Ass Prince Charles, but no one can say that she wasn't a wonderful, caring woman.

1. He is blowing off his deadline to watch news coverage
2. which he could record, tape, TIVO or wait until it's repeated (which it will be, ad nauseum)
3. and he is not even bothering to lie about why he will be late, so apparently he sees nothing wrong with his behavior
4. despite being in some kind of news-related or publishing business himself (I assume, since he's a photographer).

I must interrupt this message to insert a personal whine:

I should have been an artist. I used to think that people became artists because they had overwhelming talent and/or a passionate and undeniable desire to make art. Now I think that people with any minimum bit of talent call themselves artists so they needn't be accountable or expect to do things like show up on time. Silly me, I went and got a real job. If I had been an artist I could get away with bullpoop too.

oh interesting. i didn't know that Barbara Cartland was Di's step-mother.
as for the "test" there's no mention of that requirement in the Royal Marriages Act of 1772.

as for the guy who doesn't want to work... he may find that his actions could cost him future business. i mean ... if he was specifically working on products related to the marriage i could understand how it would affect his deadline. but instead he's just saying "screw you this is more important."

perhaps he should consider getting his stuff turned in early instead? that way he can have his wedding cake and eat it too.

My earlier rant apparently painted the picture that I don't care about the Royal Couple. That is not quite true. There are many other people I also don't care about that way too many people seem to take a profound interest in.

For example, I don't give a flying fuck about the Royals, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, their child, Angelina Jolie*, Brad Pitt, their children, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Oprah Winfrey, her husband, Mel Gibson, Jon & Kate, their 8 children, Octo-Mom, her children, the people with 19 kids (or whatever), anyone who has ever had anything to do with any of the Bachelor or Bachelorette shows, Jennifer Aniston*, Megan Fox*, any of the Lost cast, Tiger Woods, his ex-wife, their children, Brett Favre, the woman he sent those pictures to, anyone on The View, Sarah Palin (she's not even in office anymore, why is she still making news?), or any other fucking celebrity that is fodder for the tabloids and/or celebrity gossip shows and/or columns and/or blogs. OR their fucking children. OR any dead celebrities, such as Michael Jackson and Anna Nicole Smith....or THEIR children, either.

(*unless they show up naked at my door wanting sex)

Here is I DO give a fuck about: my parents, my friends, my stepsister, my sisters, my stepbrother, my cousins, any of their children, my coworkers, some of my acquaintances, and a few nice and cool people I have met. That's....fucking....IT.

If the Royal Couple got blown up by a landmine placed under their bed, and my friend Little Red tripped and fell, I would be far more concerned about Little Red. Wouldn't lose any tears or any sleep over a couple of dead rich people I have never met. Not. One. Tear.

I have no problem with people who find celebrities interesting or fascinating. But to the people who MUST follow their every move, who MUST know what's going on with them, who think they are SO important despite having never met them, despite said celebrities having no idea said people exist....to these people I say, "Fuck you! Get a life, asshole!"

Too many people in this world have their priorities completely fucking backwards. Sadly, not everyone is as levelheaded as the majority of the population here at CS.com.
