He's a cutie. And that guy was nutz. Sticking pepperoni on the mirror--wtf?? I hope he gets on some good meds and stops acting like this. It's one thing to crazy things like he did with the pepperoni, the tinsel, etc. It's another thing altogether to involve a helpless animal.

But if it had to happen, I'm glad it was at your hotel, where you could rescue the little guy!

Thank you for rescuing Pippin and giving him a good home. He's a cutie! Give him a nice carrot for me.

His former owner, give him this for me Stupid jackass, he's got no business owning a pet rock, let alone a helpless creature!

OK, given the facts that the room was destroyed, and the fact that the poor animal was found in a bed and not his "habitat", plus the known quantity of dirty minds on this board, I am absolutely shocked no one has brought up this plausible reason for the jerk ot adopt a guinea pig.

To keep it as vague as possible think Snopes.com and Richard Gere.

I have raised these balls of fur. It is so funny how when you open the frig they all start chirping, waiting for a treat. It is so calming how they purr.

Yes, pan flute music will keep him calm and keep away Guinea Bears, Guinea Bees and such.

He is just so frigging cute!

                        Yeah.

Yesterday, little Pippin was just freaked out. He wanted cry and to burrow and hide under everything. He burrowed under my sweater and hid there. I also tried to introduce him to the dog. He freaked out and tried to burrow under the dog, who was just like, "WTF? What the hell is this?" before getting up and wandering off.

Today though, he much calmer. He's quieted down, unless I pull out the lettuce, which makes him go "SQUEEEEEE!" Which I can only presume means "MOAR LETTUCE!"

And he did purr last night while noshing on leafy greens. I was like "Awww, happy Tribble!"

Excuse me as I die of cute!

Also, to be a fly on the wall the next time that guy comes around looking for a room...

Note to self: do not let mom see this thread.

She's had guinea pigs for at least 10 years. Her current one is nearing the end. When he dies she won't have guinea pigs any more.
Nah, if she's anything like my Dad, she will. It'll just take time before she feels ready for another ball of fluff. We had our last cat for 18 years, and Dad was adamant once Whiskers died that he wouldn't have another cat as he couldn't cope with losing another furry member of the family. After a few months we introdused him to the current orphaned ball of fluff (local cats shelter) ... they are now inseperable.

So, as of this morning, the guest hasn't returned yet. All his crap is still packed up in the break room.

                              But...

                              I have moar pics!

The dog looks a bit dubious about the new arrival...

Pippin was freaking out the first night. He kept diving under my sweater. I let him crawl under there while I worked on my NaNo project.

Pippin was a lot more relaxed in the morning.

CW brought in a cage, so he's set up in a new habitat now. He's actually in the cage in this pic, in the little green plastic igloo.
