Quoth KiaKat View PostWell bah.
The bleach has to stay in for a LOT longer. Like, probably 3+ hours. And it's uneven.
Guess I'm redoing it!
Still taking pictures, but I won't post the whole sequence till I'm done.Thou shalt not take the name of thy goddess Whiskey in vain.

Quoth KiaKat View PostToo expensive.
plus your hair is going to fall out if you dont wait a few weeks between bleachings.
(but if you can, more power to you. ive done self bleach, looked a hot mess, not posting pictures)Thou shalt not take the name of thy goddess Whiskey in vain.

It's actually not that bad, and I threw a deep conditioner on it immediately after.
Plus it's not all the hair. Just streaks. And I'm not doing it to the scalp, but about a quarter/half inch out.
Salon would run me over 100 bucks for this process. Myself, I can do it for around $30 total.

You've seen my hair, right? Thick, curly, VERY dark, and coarse. Means I have to go to a place that can handle it, and I take up one of their seats for a long-ass time waiting for it to process. Last time I did highlights, double-process, it took over six hours. And that's if I go to a specialist.
Just the bleaching alone would take an entire afternoon. Then the colour has to set, which means that's another 3+ hours.

anyone else go reverse and grow their hair out in summer then cut it all off in winter? I dont know why, but this is how it always happens. If i cut my hair drastically, its ALWAYS in winterThou shalt not take the name of thy goddess Whiskey in vain.

MY GOOGLE-FU IS GOOD!
I found several sites saying that re-bleaching is fine, as long as I give the scalp a day or so to rest. Which I'm doing, because all the errands are getting done tomorrow.
My deep conditioner is a protein-based one, so if I throw that on in the morning, then go about my day and rinse it at night, I should be fine, with minimal breakage. I don't futz with my hair more than once a year, and I'm really careful about conditioning. Plus I don't use heat styling (no curling irons, no flatirons, no hairdryers), so there's no damage from any of that.

Quoth RecoveringKinkoid View PostThat is the lovely Kelly Kapoor, from The Office. That scene is brilliant.
As for properly harnessing the power of boobs, most times it's when the boobs are NOT properly harnessed they seem to have the most power.
I'm just sayin'.
Hot coffee through the nose hurts!
I would have to agree with you though, lack of proper harness does multiply the power of the boobies.
