I was trying to help my bf shovel, because I didn't want to just stand there looking like an idiot....the shovel was about as big as me and the snow was so heavy, he was just like "Ok, you tried, it's fine, just so sit in the car." lol

It wasn't so bad yesterday afternoon, as it got back up to the 30's and they eventually got their lazy asses out and started plowing.

The drive to meet up with a friend at the mall, and then the drive back to the bf's place was much better.

I have a mental image of blas motoring the shovel along until it's full, grabbing the middle of the handle and pushing the end down to lever the snow up and...

Yes, I've been reading the news about the sudden cold snap in England and several Western European countries. It's had pretty much no effect up here though - it's still normal winter weather, and we're just waiting for the thaw to start properly.

WTF? Radio was saying temp of 42 most of the afternoon, but every so often I'd see little patches of flurries floating around the airport.

It was a rather odd experience because I (like always) was not properly dressed, had no mittens, I don't own a winter coat, only fleeces, no "real" boots, just high heeled ones.....

Yeah, if I need to get around in bad pavement in the winter, I wear those babies and stomp my way through. Haven't fallen once.

Right after I went outside? The snow started flying upwards. And then there were patches where it just kind of....swirled and hovering in a staying pattern a few feet above the ground.
